Caroline (Smithberger) Crock, taken circa the 1870s (judging by her dress).

Caroline was the daughter of John Smithberger and Johanna (Fauth) Smithberger.  Caroline was born on 5 February 1850, Elk Township, (Monroe/Noble County).  She married Casper Crock (youngest son of John and Anna Barbara (Mattis) Crock) on 10 November 1874, at St. Henry's Church, Harriettsville, Noble County, Ohio.

Caroline (Smithberger) Crock died on 17 January 1887, a month after the birth of her eighth child, Michael Crock.  Caroline was buried in Harriettsville.

Note the book that Caroline was holding.  Also note the mirror-like finish of the floor.

Caroline and Casper Crock have over 150 descendants.  Their great great grandson, Andy Miller, provided this picture.
