According to the 1890 US Census Veterans' Schedule, Robert Colie lived at 258 Livingston St. in Newark, Essex County, New Jersey. Robert served as a private in Company D of the NJ Volunteer Infantry's 39 Regiment. He enlisted on 28 Sep 1864 and was discharged on 17 Jun 1865. The census schedule lists his length of service as 1 year, 3 months and 11 days. Either one of the dates is wrong, or the length of service is incorrect; since Sep 1864 to Jun 1965 is less than nine months. No injuries or comments were noted on the schedule.
