Vernon D. LaCrone, 26, of Ridge road, who was injured New Year's Eve in a crash
at Fifth street and Elberon avenue was reported in poor condition at Good Samaritan
hospital. He suffered severe head injuries.

Edward F. Warner

In 1930, 17 year old Edward F. Warner lived and worked on the family farm in Stock Twp., Noble County, Ohio with his widowed mother and siblings.

Obituary:
ZANESVILLE - Edward F. “Pap” Warner, 84, of Zanesville, died Wednesday, Dec.
4, 1996 at his home. Ed was a local contractor, building hundreds of homes over a 45
year period. He was a frequent visitor at McDonalds and took daily walks with his
dogs, Chelsea and Katy. He loved the outdoors and his family.
Ed leaves his wife, Vivian Davis Warner; one daughter, Kay Israel; four grandsons,
Joseph Israel, Braden Israel, Michael Israel, and Devin Israel; six great-grandchildren,
Shannon, Bradley, Austin, Landon, Charles, and Lucy; and one sister, Pauline Calihan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ida and Albert Warner of Noble County;
two sisters, Marie Hoy and Leona Neff; and five brothers, Paul, Raphael, Harry, Ernest
and Wilbert.
Ed was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and for 15 years a Red Cross Volunteer
at Good Samaritan Medical Center.
Calling hours will be 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 1996 at Hillis Funeral Home,
935 Forest Ave, where Christian Vigil Service will be held at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday Dec. 7, 1996 at St. Thomas Catholic Church with burial
in Zanesville Memorial Park.

MISCELLANEOUS SHOWER FOR RECENT BRIDE
Mrs. Edward Warner, a recent bride, was honored with a miscellaneous shower
given by Mrs. Eileen Layne and Miss Mary Van Allen at the Layne home on Schaum
avenue. Mrs. Warner was formerly Miss Vivian Davis. She received a number of gifts.
Games were enjoyed with prizes being won by Grace Yinger, Sarah Roberts, Eva
Thomas and Margaret Yinger. A Halloween luncheon was served.
Those present were Helen Walker, Thelma Mead, Clara Roberts, Anna Thomas, Mae
Thomas, Edna Weidig, Margaret Yinger, Pegg Barr, Shirley Kackley, Gertrude Donaldson,
Eva Thomas, Ada Long, Virginia Bunting, Marge Allen, Mary Lucas, Bessie Davis, Mrs.
Eileen Layne, and Mary Van Allen.

Vivian E. Warner, (1918 - 2009), died October 14, 2009 at The Muskingum County
Home. She was the daughter of Bessie and Fletcher Davis, wife of Edward F. Warner
(1912 - 1996), mother of Kay Israel, grandmother of Joseph (Kim) Israel, Braden Israel,
Michael (Peggy) Israel and Devin (Kelli) Israel. Vivian was great-grandmother to Shannon
(Jason) DiVincenzo, Luke and Isaac, Bradley Israel, Angie Goff, Justus and Carson, Krystal
Paisley, Charles Israel, Lucy (Tim) Rucker, Austin, Landon and Jensen Israel and mother-
in-law to Ralph Israel. She was a sister to Don (Marilyn) Davis.
Vivian volunteered at Good Samaritan for 40 years and enjoyed feeding the birds and deer.
She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
Family visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 12 Noon, today, October 17, at The Hillis & Hardwick
Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue where funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon with Fr.
Luke Turon, O.P. officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Donations can be made
in Vivian's name to Bishop Fenwick Elementary School, 139 North 5th Street, Zanesville. To

PARTY HONORS BRIDE
Mrs. Ralph Israel, seated, was guest of honor at a party given Tuesday by the
Misses Patty Barker, Jacquie Mizer and Vonda Cruise (standing left to right) at the
Barker home, 1969 Dresden road. Mrs. Israel, the former Miss Kay Warner, was
married Friday morning in St. Thomas Catholic Church. A pink and white color
scheme was carried out in decorations and refreshments at the party, which was
attended by 24 guests who presented the guest of honor with a shower of miscella-
neous gifts. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Warner of 10 Westwood
drive, is a senior at Zanesville high school. Mr. Israel is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Charles M. Israel of Chandlersville Route 1. He is employed by the Greiner Dairy.

The following appeared in The Zanesville Signal newspaper on November 14, 1945: Russell Snyder, petty officer 1-c, of Norfolk, Va. spent the week-end visiting his wife and children Kenny and Kay on Durbin drive. The following appeared in The Times Recorder (Zanesville, OH) newspaper on March 18, 1948: A contested divorce suit, brought by Leona Snyder against Russell Snyder, is scheduled for hearing today in common pleas court. The plaintiff is represented by Pugh, Knapp and Miller while Graham, Graham, Hollingsworth and Gottlieb are counsel for the defendent.

The following appeared in The Times Recorder (Zanesville, OH) newspaper on July 24, 1953: Marriage Application Frank L. Neff, 45, 1320 Linden avenue, and Leona M. Warner Snyder,
38, 1303 Central avenue.

The following wedding announcement appeared in The Zanesville (OH) signal newspaper on August 3, 1953: MRS. SNYDER, FRANK NEFF WED THURSDAY Announcement is made of the marriage of Mrs. Leona Snyder of
1308 Central avenue and Frank Neff of 1320 Linden avenue. The cer-
emony took place at 10 o'clock Thursday morning in the St. Thomas
rectory. Father Beaver officiated at the single ring vows. For her marriage the bride wore a ? blue suit with white accessories
and a corsage of pink and blue flowers. An informal reception followed in the bride's home. Later the Neffs
left for a week's wedding trip in the East and upon their return they will
reside at the Linden avenue address. Mr. Neff is owner of the Frank L. Neff Transfer and Storage.
