Moreman (Paul Barclay); great-grandfather of Abigail Green; brother of Donald, Frederick, Linda Brafchak, and the late Mary Ann Matz. Funeral Mass Saturday, May 31, St. Clement Church at 9:30 a.m. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, Avon. Friends received Friday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. in the Nickels & Andrade Funeral Home, 14500 Madison Ave., Lakewood.


Roman L. Wahl

In 1930, newlywed Ohio natives Roman L. and Mabel P. Wahl rented a portion of a home for $45 a month at 128 Franklin Ave. in Staten Island, Richmond County, New York. Roman was an auto mechanic and Mabel was a public school teacher. There were no children in the home.

This brief note appeared on page 10 of The Zanesville Signal on 1 Jan 1932:
Mr. and Mrs. Roman Wahl, New York, are spending
several days visiting here.

Ida May Gallagher

Wedding announcement:
WOODSFIELD - Henry Miller and Miss Ida Gallagher
were united in marriage in the Church of the Assumption
in Barnesville Saturday morning [1 Dec 1945] with Fr.
Rudolph officiating.
They were attended by Miss Virginia Chappell and
Pvt. Paul Miller, brother of the groom. Following the
ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home
of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Gallagher
of Barnesville Route 1. Those present were Mr. and Mrs.
Henry Miller and family, Mrs. Elmer Thonen and children,
Mrs. Annie Miller, Paul Miller, Mrs. Bertha Carpenter
and son, and Mrs. and Mrs. Lawrence Gallagher and
children.
The groom is a son of Mrs. Annie Miller of Jerusalem
Route 1. Mr. and Mrs. Miller will make their home on
Jerusalem Route 1 where he is engaged in farming.

Barnesville -- Mrs. Ida May Miller, 33, of Lewisville,
Route 2, died Thursday in Barnesville Hospital after
an illness.
Mrs. Miller was born September 25, 1929 in
Barnesville, a daughter of Lawrence and Emma
Burkhart Gallagher. She was married to Henry
Miller, December 1, 1945.
She was a member at St. John's Catholic Church
in Miltonsburg.
Surviving are her husband of the home; a son,
Robert Miller of the home; four daughters, Nancy,
Rita, Catherine, and Beverly, all of the home; her
parents of Barnesville; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Miller
of Woodsfield, Route 3, and Mrs. Willis Carpenter
of Barnesville; four brothers, Ralph Gallagher of
Barnesville, Route 3, Gilbert of Canton, Donald of
East Gary, Ind. and Larry of Barnesville.
The body is at Campbell Funeral Home in Barnes-
ville where friendsmay call after 1 p.m. today. Rosary
will be recited at 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. John's
Church. Burial will be in St. John's Church Cemetery.

In 1920, Clemence Wahl lived with his parents and younger siblings in Center Twp., Monroe County, Ohio. He was employed as a laborer in an oil field.

In 1930, 36 year old unmarried Clement Wahl was a boarder with the family of English immigrant Norman Humpfries at 1264 West 91st St. in Cleveland, Ohio. Clement was employed as an electrician at a steel products company.

Clement lived at home with his parents when his mother died in 1948.

Clement Wahl was married and a resident of Monroe County, Ohio at the time of his death.
