James H. Heinie Dalsky, age 75, of Canton, loving husband, father andgrandfather, passed away Wednesday March 29, 2000 in McKinley Life Centerfollowing an extended illness. Heinie was born February 27, 1925 inMassillon and was the son of the late Herman and Florence (Sibila) Dalsky.He was a former Keller operator for the Ford Motor Company, retiring in1986. He was an Army Veteran of WWII serving with the 94th InfantryDivision. Heinie was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, a 4th Degreemember of the Knights of Columbus Louisville Council #2530, a member of theAmerican Legion Post #548 and a member of the F.O.E. Louisville Aerie #2374.He was a former Louisville City Councilman and a member of the board for theCharter Commission of Louisville. He leaves behind his wife of 53 years,Mary Margaret (Gulling) whom he wed November 9, 1946; four daughters andsons-in-law, Elaine and Donald Chip Cassidy of Minerva, Julie and DonaldFrank of Harrisburg, Susan and Michael Warne of Canton and Jayne and JimGribble of Darnestown, MD; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lynn and MarshaDalsky of Louisville and John and Kathy Dalsky of Jefferson, OH; 12grandchildren, Jan and Scott Cassidy, Nicholas, Carrie, Sarah and LauraFrank, Lauren and Laney Dalsky, Katelyn, Robert and Eric Warne, DylanGribble; and a special family friend, Steven Stone. Besides his parents, heis preceded in death by his step-father, Jim Ali; a son, Robert V. Dalsky;and a brother, John Dalsky. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebratedSaturday at 10 a.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church with Msgr. Ken Millerofficiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery in Harrisburg.Friends may call Friday evening (tonight) from 5-8 p.m. at the Paquelet-FalkFuneral Home in Louisville. Mary Margaret was born September 23, 1925, inHarrisburg to the late Vincent and Bernice (Moulin) Gulling. She was aformer Clerk and Mail Carrier for the Louisville Branch of the U.S. PostalService. She was a member of the Sacred Heart of Mary Senior Citizens Group,the American Legion Auxiliary and St. Louis Catholic Church where she wasactive in the Columbus Women's Club. Mary Margaret was a founding member and treasurer of St. Hope, a charitable AIDS organization. Mary Margaret leavesbehind four daughters and three sons-in-law, Elaine and Donald Chip Cassidyof Minerva, Julie and Donald Frank of Harrisburg, Susan and Michael Warne ofCanton and Jayne Gribble of Germantown, MD; two sons and daughters-in-law,Lynn and Marsha Dalsky of Louisville and John and Kathy Dalsky of Jefferson,OH; 12 grandchildren, Jan and Scott (Kim) Cassidy, Nicholas, Carrie, Sarahand Laura Frank, Lauren and Laney Dalsky, Katelyn, Robert and Eric Warneand Dylan Rachal Gribble; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Kenneth andFlorence Gulling of Medina and Russell and Mary Gulling of Louisville andMary Gulling of Clinton. Helen M. Polus, age 91, formerly of Maximo, passed away Wednesday, Dec-ember5, 2001, in St. Joseph Care Center in Louisville, following an extendedillness. Helen was born Sept. 25, 1910 in Harrisburg, the daughter of thelate Victor and Dora (Frank) Monter. She was a member of St. Joseph CatholicChurch in Maximo and was active in the church's Altar and Rosary Society.Helen leaves behind two daughters and son-in-law, Theresa Polus of Allianceand James (Mary) Lucas of Louisville; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph(Barbara) Polus of Selley Lake, MT; two sisters, Kathleen Chenevey ofAlliance and Isabelle Monter of Louisville; two grandchildren, Joseph andKelly Polus, both of Bozeman, MT. Besides her parents, Helen is preceded indeath by her husband, Joseph H. Polus, in 1996; her stepmother, Cora(Briggs) Monter; two sisters, Sister Mary Joanita and Ethel Heppner; threebrothers, John, Paul and Austin Monter. A Mass of Christian Burial will becelebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maximo withRev. Fr. William Bantz officiating.
