His Legacy.... William Arthur “Art” Baker, age 72, of Belle Valley died Tuesday morning (June 19, 2007) at his residence in following a lengthy illness. He was born Feb.13, 1935 in Caldwell, OH a son of the late Russell and Nellie Bush Baker. Art was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, who loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, woodworking and playing poker. He was a member and very strong supporter of the United Steelworkers Union and was retired from Interlake Steel in Beverly, Ohio.

His Family... Surviving are his wife Betty J. Dye Baker of the home, whom he married Dec. 29, 1954; Two Sons: Richard (Sheila) Baker of Belle Valley, William A. Baker Jr. of Belle Valley, One Daughter: Marilyn (Tom) Morrison of Carlisle, Eleven Grandchildren: Tanya (Jason) Lockhart, Melissa (Michael) Mack, Tony (Jill) Baker, Jessica (Jamie) Hill, Will (Rhonda) Baker, Troy (Lindsay) Baker, Jerad (Sandy) Morrison, Tara Baker, Tommy (Beth) Morrison, Tracy Morrison, and Tina (Tyler) Witham, Eighteen Great-Grandchildren, Four Brothers: Robert Baker, Richard Baker, Raymond Baker and Russell Baker Jr., Two Sisters: Jane Dovenbarger and Nancy Seevers. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by Four Sisters; Gladys Moore, Virginia Wilkos, Sarah Anderson and Marie Church.

His Farewell Service... Friends will be received Thursday (June 21, 2007) from 2 to 8 pm at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell. Funeral Services will be held Friday at 11:00 am in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rodney Reeves Officiating. Burial will follow in Hoskinsville Cemetery near Belle Valley.
