Kathleen Monter

Obituary:

Kathleen M. Chenevey, 91, born on June 21, 1915, died Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at Saint Joseph Care Center, Louisville, Ohio. She had been a life long resident of Marlboro. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born to the late Victor and Dora (Frank) Monter.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband of 69 1/2 years, John D. Chenevey; grandson, Timothy J. Valentine; brothers, John, Paul and Austin Monter; sisters, Helen Polus, Isabelle Monter, Sr. M. Joanita, SND, and Ethel Heppner.

Survived by sons, Richard (Cecelia) of Phoenix, AZ, John V. (Gail) of Lusby, MD, Joseph (Becky) Chenevey of Wadsworth, OH; daughters, Janet (Jerry) Seifert of Uniontown, OH, Cynthia (Gene) Valentine of New Philadelphia, OH, and Joanita (Keith) Kleist of Scottsdale, AZ; 17 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Altar and Rosary Society of Sacred Heart of Mary. She sewed Church vestments and many quilts for their annual festivals. She was a member of Marlboro Fireman's Auxiliary. Kathleen loved cooking (and everyone loved that she did), making quilts, crocheting afghans, gardening and playing cards.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to St. Joseph's Care Center in Louisville, Ohio for all their care, support and prayers.

Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home (303 South Chapel St., Louisville, Ohio 44641). A Mass of Celebration will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Mary in Harrisburg, Ohio with Rev. Father Howard Ziemba officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph's Care Center of Louisville, Ohio, Sacred Heart of Mary Church in Harrisburg, Ohio or the Timothy Valentine Scholarship Fund, c/o David Valentine, 4383 Executive Circle NW, Canton, Ohio 44718.
