Helen Everly Gill's obituary appeared in the Canton Repository newspaper on October 4, 2008
Helen M. Gill, 75, of Massillon and formerly of Brewster, died unexpectedly on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation following complications from surgery.
She was born in Caldwell on Dec. 16, 1932 to the late Walton and Wilma (Archer) Everly and married Willard I. Gill on June 25, 1951. He survives. She retired from the former Central States Can Company and enjoyed reading, playing euchre, jig saw puzzles and crocheting.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Trudie (Kevin) Gill-Keenly of Evans, GA, Brett Gill of Massillon, Mark (Robin) Gill of Navarre and Amy (Tony) Molle of Massillon; fourteen grandchildren and one great grandson; four sisters, Dorothy DeCost of Canton, Mabel (Bob) Heinbuch of Navarre, Deanna (Charles) Harland of Navarre and Linda Miller of Streetsboro; two brothers, Gerald Everly of Canton and Buddy Harp of Navarre. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherrie Fair; and a brother, Harold.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 8 p.m. at the Spidell Funeral Home in Brewster with Pastor Joe Wright officiating. Friends may call on Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
