Obituary:
Alice Helena (Lang) Schilling, 86, of Marietta, died at 12:35 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 3, 2006) at The Woman?s Home in Marietta. She was born at home in Waterford, Ohio, on Dec. 26, 1919. She married Edward Schilling on Oct. 10, 1940, and resided in Marietta. She was a loving and dedicated mother to daughters, JoAnne (Lewis ?Skip?) Blunt of Brighton, Mich., and Marjorie (Jerry) Stephens of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and son, Daniel (Kathleen) Schilling of Solon, Ohio. Alice is also survived by two grandsons, Jeffrey (Laurel) and Joshua Blunt; four granddaughters, Shannon (Trey) Holcomb, Kasi (Colin) Maple, Megan (Joseph) Papp and Allison Schilling; five great-grandchildren, Casey Blunt, Raese, Ella, and Alexander Holcomb, and Zayne Maple; seven brothers, James, Vincent, Robert, Harold, John, Delbert, and Gerald Lang; and three sisters, Grace Strahler, Evelyn Neill, and Shirley Oliver. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward Joseph; beloved daughter, Janet Emma Schilling; her parents, Joseph E. and Mary Meiser Lang; and five brothers, Joseph Jr., Glen, Bernard, Walter and an infant brother. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Mark Moore and the Rev. Monsignor John Michael Campbell con-celebrating. Entombment will be in East Lawn Mausoleum following the services.
