Clarence Henry Sternagle

ROCK HILL -- Mr. Clarence Henry Sternagle, 86, of 957 Normandy Way died Monday, Nov. 20, 2006, at Piedmont Medical Center. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 24, 2006 at St. Anne?s Catholic Church with Father William Pentis officiating. Entombment will be at Grandview Memorial Park on Cherry Road. A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Mr. Sternagle was a son of the late Henry Sternagle and the late Rose Sternagle. He was a member of St. Anne?s Catholic Church in Rock Hill. He served as a quality control inspector for the U.S. Government. Mr. Sternagle was a trustee of Ellsworth Township. He was a member of the Western Reserve School Board of Berlin Center in Ohio for 24 years. He was also a member of Ellsworth Grange, Ellsworth Volunteer Fire Department, Ellsworth Zoning Commission and Western Reserve Band Booster. He is survived by his wife, Ethel Whinnery Sternagle of the home; his four sons, Clarence W. Sternagle of Salem, Ohio, Richard H. Sternagle of Frisco, Texas, David A. Sternagle of Eastlake, Ohio, and Dale E. Sternagle of Rock Hill; his three daughters, Jean A. Gibson and Joanne M. Majecic, both of Rock Hill, and Janet Painter of Manassa, Va.; and 14 grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at St. Anne?s Catholic Church.
