Daniel E. Schell

Daniel Schell, one-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence
Schell of Caldwell, is a patient in Good Samaritan hospital,
Zanesville.

The following engagement announcement appeared in The Newark (OH) Advocate newspaper on November 23, 1962: ALLEN-SCHELL BETROTHAL BEING ANNOUNCED TODAY ANNOUNCEMENT IS BEING MADE by Mrs. Ruby
Rarick, 225 21 St., of the engagement of her daughter
Miss Barbara J. Allen, to Daniel E. Schell, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Clarence V. Schell, Newark RFD 6. Miss Allen is a 1959 graduate of Newark Senior High
School and is employed by the Western Electric Co.,
Columbus. The prospective bridegroom is a 1957
graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School and is
self employed. No date is being announced for the wedding.

The following wedding announcement appeared in The Newark (OH) Advocate newspaper on April 24, 1965 [A picture of the bride accompanied the article]: ALLEN-SCHELL MARRIAGE IS SOLEMNIZED IN HEATH St. Leonard Church of Heath was the setting when Miss
Barbara J. Allen exchanged vows with Daniel E. Schell in
a double ring ceremony read at 11 a.m. today by the Rev.
Fr. Edwin McNulty. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Ruby Allen. 1339 W.
Main St., and Mr. Schell is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence
Schell, Rt. 6. Branch candelabra and baskets of white fuji chrysan-
themums decorated the altar and family pews were marked
with white satin bows. Musical prelude was presented by Mrs. Leo Shuley, organist. Given in marriage by her uncle, Earl Burson, the bride had
chosen a long sleeved floor-length, A-line gown of silk organza
over taffeta with pearl embroidered alencon lace defining the
batteau neckline and appearing again at the waist. The gown was styled with a full detachable watteau chapel
train of organza. Her French illusion veil was attached to a
lace and pearl appliqued organza pillbox. She carried white roses and stephanotis centered with white
orchids and attached to a lace fan with white satin streamers. Attending the bride as matron of honor was Mrs. Clair Schell
and bridesmaids were Mrs. David Schell and Miss Jane
Flanagan. The attendants wore identical gowns of blue silk organza
with long-sleeved bodices fashioned with a fringe trim defining
the empire waist line. White silk organza over taffeta styled the
floor length sheath skirts. Their hats were matching blue velvet pill boxes trimmed with
orange blossoms and attached to theater veils. The honor attendant's flowers were white roses centered with
blue carnations and attached to a fan of lace with white streamers.
Bridesmaids carried blue carnations attached with white satin
streamers. Clair Schell served his brother as best man and his grooms-
men were David and Charles Schell, brothers of the bridegroom. Seating guests were Mark and Gregory Schell, also brothers
of the bridegroom. Immediately following the ceremony, 100 guests were enter-
tained at a reception in Carousel Restaurant. Tables were
decorated with white snowdrift and greenery surrounding the
cake. Mr. and Mrs. clarence Schell were hosts at a rehearsal diner
(sic) Friday for members of the bridal party. The bride is a 1959 graduate of Newark High School and
was formerly employed by Western Electric Company in
Columbus. The bridegroom graduated from St. Francis de Sales High
School in 1957 and is a restaurant manager. The newly-weds will fly to Miami, Fla., and Jamaica for a
10-day honeymoon. On their return they will make their home
in Marion.

Three 1971 graduates of area high schools received $100 scholarships from Moundbuilders Kiwanis Club.
The club awarded its annual grants this year to students planning to enter technical schools…
... Stephen J. Schell, son of Mrs. Clarence Schell, Rt. 6, is also a graduate of Newark Catholic. He plans to use his scholarship to study business administration at the Muskingum [Area Technical] Institute.
Scholarship winners are selected from Licking County schools on the basis of scholastic achievement.

Mr. Schell is a graduate of Campion High School, Prairie du Chien, Wis., with the class of 1952. He attended John Carroll and Ohio State Universities and served with the United States Marine Corps. He is associated with the State Farm Insurance Company.


Julieann Jane Alexander

The following engagement announcement appeared in The Newark (OH) Advocate newspaper on January 14, 1961: Julieann Alexander To Wed Clair Wm. Schell MR. AND MRS. JOHN P. ALEXANDER, 224 Hunter St,. are
announcing the engagement and approaching marriage of their
daughter, Julieann, to Clair William Schell, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Clarence W. Schell, Dorsey Mill Rd. Miss Alexander was graduated from Newark Catholic High
School with the class of 1959 and is employed by the Rockwell-
Standard Corporation. Mr. Schell is a graduate of Campion High School, Prairie du
Chien, Wis., with the class of 1952. He attended John Carroll
and Ohio State Universities and served with the United States
Marine Corps. He is associate with the State Farm Insurance
Company. The wedding will be an event of April 22 in the Church of the
Blessed Sacrament.

Jane Alexander and Clair William Schell for the wedding at 11
a..m. in the Church of the Blessed Sacrament. The Rev. Fr.
Thomas Bennett will officiate at the ceremony. Serving the bride as maid of honor will be her sister Mrs.
William Swank and the bridesmaids will be Mrs. Douglas
Heffley, sister of the bridegroom and Miss Sue Ann Carnal. Monica and Ann Schell, both sisteres (sic) of the bridegroom
will act as flower girls. Daniel Schell will serve his brother as best man and the
ushers will include David Schell, Charles Schell, brothers
and William Swank. Miss Alexander is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John P.
Alexander, 224 Hunter St. and Mr. Schell is the son of Mr.
and Mrs, Clarence W. Schell, Dorsey Mill Rd.

Jane Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick A. Davis,
Rt. 1, Newark, to Gregory E. Schell, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Clarence W. Schell, Rt. 6, Newark. Double ring nuptials were exchanged at 11:30 a.m.
today in Blessed Sacrament Church with Father William
A. Dunn as the officiant. Mr. Ralph Hoy provided music. Miss Barbara Wieber served the bride as maid of honor,
and Mrs. Albert Ernest II, Mrs. Douglas Heffley and Miss
Monica Schell, both sisters of the bridegroom, and Miss
Michele O'Toole, were bridesmaids. The attendants wore floor length melon color imported
chiffon over taffeta gowns with bordonne lace fashioning
the yoke and elbow length sleeves. Matching headpieces
held their theater length veils. the honor attendant carried
a cascade of yellow fuji chrysanthemums, and the brides-
maids carried cascades of melon fuji chrysanthemums.
