Daniel James Arnold

Obituary:
BEVERLY - Daniel James Arnold, 80, of Mount Vernon, formerly of Waterford, died at 12:27 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2007, at Genesis Health and Rehab in McConnelsville.
Born Nov. 13, 1926, in Marietta, he was a son of Raymond and Elizabeth Schilling Arnold. He was a farmer and worked at B.F. Goodrich, retiring in 1989. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was Catholic by faith. On June 17, 1952, he married Nora L. Cooper Arnold. She died Aug. 10, 1990.
He is survived by two daughters, Angela Wolfe and husband, Jerry, of Marietta, Ga., and Lorry Williams and husband, David, of Lowell; four sons, Jeff Arnold and wife, Becky, of McConnelsville, Rick Arnold and wife, Ellen, of McConnelsville, Lindsey Arnold of Mount Vernon and Hillary Arnold and wife, Sue, of McConnelsville; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Schaad of Lowell and Alice Lang and husband, Vincent, of Churchtown; and one brother, Ambrose Arnold of Marietta.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; a daughter, Roxann Sheppard; a grandson, Jacob Sheppard; one brother, Mark Arnold; and a sister, Audrey Lang.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, April 15, at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly, with a rosary service at 8:30 p.m.
Services are Monday, April 16, 2007, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Beverly with Monsignor Robert Kawa officiating. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery with military services at the grave.
