Sarah Tornes

The following wedding announcement appeared in The Marietta (OH) Times on March 22, 2008:
Sarah Tornes and Dan Richards exchanged marriage vows during a wedding ceremony at 2 p.m. Oct. 20, 2007, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marietta. Father Mike Campbell officiated for the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Dean and Jeri Tornes of Marietta. She is the granddaughter of Al and Bonnie Brannan of Marietta, and Earl and Justine Tornes of Waterford.

The bridegroom is the son of Maureen Richards of McConnelsville and Doug Richards of Marietta. He is the grandson of Rose Matuszak of Pittsburgh, Pa.

The bride wore an ivory strapless A-line gown with a crystal embroidered bodice. She carried a bouquet of cinnamon calla lilies, and peach sweethearts and ivory roses.

Maid of honor was Kelly Huck. Bridesmaids were Beth Radalia, Megan Tornes, Andrea Tornes and Sarah Richards. They wore cinnamon strapless dresses and carried bouquets of cinnamon calla lilies, hypericum berries and peach sweethearts.

Best man was Matt Tullius. Groomsmen were Josh Lockhart, Brian Tennant, Cody Lane and Tony Long.

A reception followed at the Marietta Shrine Club.

The bride received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Walsh University and a master’s degree in business administration from Ashland University. She is employed as a senior communications project leader at The Timken Co. in Canton, Ohio.

The bridegroom received a bachelor’s degree in business management from Marietta College. He is employed as a branch manager at Enterprise in Fairlawn, Ohio.

After a wedding trip to the Carribean, the couple are residing at Massillon, Ohio.


Charles H. Neuhart

The cause of death on Charles Neuhart's death certificate is difficult to read. It looks like "convulsions, epilepsy in character -- never had this until 1 hr before death." A contributory cause was "acute arhiutus [?] Rheum" since July 8 '37.


Elizabeth I. Riesbeck

The following note appeared in the “Brief Mention” column of the Zanesville Times Recorder on 25 Feb 1946:
Mrs. C. H. Neuhart of 958 Findley avenue and Misses
Louise and Ann Riesbeck of 1001 Greenwood avenue,
left Friday for New York city where they will visit Mr. and
Mrs. Ralph Staudt of Brooklyn and Mrs. J. V. Riesbeck of
Greenwich Village.

Elizabeth Riesbeck Neuhart’s obituary appeared in the Zanesville Times Recorder on 2 Mar 1966:
Mrs. Charles (Elizabeth) Neuhart, 80, mother of Mrs.
Vincent McIntire of 950 Findley avenue and a sister of
Miss Louise Riesbeck of 1001 Greenwood avenue, died
Tuesday (March 1) after a long illness at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Wallace Iliffe of Western Springs, Ill.
Mrs. Neuhart was born at Woodsfield and was a resident
of Zanesville until she moved to Western Springs in 1959.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Her
husband, Charles, died in 1937.
Surviving are a son, Fred Neuhart of Chatham, N.J.;
another daughter, Mrs. John Coulter of Buras, La., another
sister, Mrs. Ralph Staudt of Granville; 17 grandchildren and
seven great-grandchildren.
The body will be taken to Hillis Funeral Home where
friends may call after 1 p.m. Thursday. Services will be
held at St. Nicholas Church at 9:30 a.m. Friday. Burial
will be in Mount Olive Cemetery. Rosary will be recited
at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Thursday.


Mary Lou Neuhart

The following note appeared in the “Chit Chat” column of the Zanesville Signal on 9 May 1939:
Misses Louise and Ann Riesbeck, Greenwood avenue, and their nieces, Misses Mary Lou and Vivian Neuhart, Market street, left today for a week’s stay in New York city. They will attend the world’s fair.


Vivian C. Neuhart

The following note appeared in the “Brief Mention” column of the Zanesville Times Recorder on 29 Aug 1935:
Miss Vivian Neuhart, Market street, is visiting her aunts, Misses Louise and Ann Riesbeck at the Riesbeck county home, near Woodsfield.
