Edward Charles Scholl

On 5 Jun 1917, 24 year old Edward Charles Scholl of 1024 Maplewood, Ambridge registered for the US military draft in Beaver County, PA. He stated that he was born in Baltimore, MD on Dec. 26th, 1892. Edward was a mill superintendant at the Standard Semless Tube Co. in Ambridge. His next of kin was listed as "Mother" (no name given). Edward was described as being of medium height and build with light blue eyes and light brown hair.

In 1930, 34 year old Edward C. Scholl lived with his wife Helen C. (31) and their children Geraldine (9), Marilyn (6) and Helen Irene (2) in a rented home ($50/mo.) at 817 McKinley in Sand Springs, Tulsa Co., Oklahoma. Also living in the house was Edward's 27 year old nephew Charles Scholl. Based on census data, they had been married for about 12 years. Edward and Charles were born in Maryland and Edward's parents in Germany. Helen and Geraldine were born in Pennsylvania, Marilyn in Illinois and Helen Irene in Alabama. Helen's father was born in Ohio and her mother in Germany. None of the children attended school. Edward worked as a roll designer in a steel mill. The family owned a radio set.

Donald F. Bauerbach

Donald F. Bauerbach, 73, of Marietta went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday (Sept. 8, 2008) at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Lowell on Feb. 4, 1935, to the late John William and Marie Catherine Offenberger Bauerbach. He married Velva Jean Stewart on April 28, 1962. He served his country for eight years in the Army National Guard. He retired from Kardex Systems. He was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He loved serving his Lord as well as church members, family, and friends.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Doug and Kenny of Marietta; two daughters, Becky Strickler (Chris) of Marietta and Debbie Allen (Blake) of St. Augustine, Fla.; five grandchildren, Andrew, Sam and Michelle Strickler and Brandi and Morgan Bauerbach, of Marietta; a goddaughter, Angela Bauerbach Ackley (Rick) of Caldwell; two brothers, James and Cecil of Lowell; three sisters, Mary Nicholson (John) of Normantown, W.Va., Betty Morris (Riley B.) and Joanne Schott (Dean) of Beverly; sister-in-law, Grace Bauerbach of Lowell and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Bauerbach; a brother, David N. Bauerbach; a stepfather, Vearl Newlen; and a brother-in-law, Charles Rhodes.
The family will accept visitors at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. A vigil service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday. Funeral liturgy, with Mass, will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Monsignor John Michael Campbell and Donald's nephew, the Rev. Wayne Morris concelebrating. Entombment will follow at East Lawn Mausoleum.

Margery Ann Arnold

Margery Arnold Schott's obituary appeared in the Marietta Times, Sept 9, 2008. Her parents are mis-identified in the first paragraph, but correctly named in the fourth paragraph.

TIPTON, Iowa - Margery Ann Arnold Schott, daughter of Albert Jacob and Eleanor Louise Bauerbach Schott, was born March 5, 1930, in Waterford, Ohio.
In 1948 she graduated from high school in Waterford. Margery was a homemaker, farmer, meter reader for REC and an Ombudsman for Cedar Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Guild, past treasure and past president of Davenport Diocesan Catholic Women, Meals on Wheels since 1969, National Council of Catholic Women, Tipton Women's Club, United Fund, Cedar Rapids Hospice, Cedar County Fair volunteer, American Cancer Society, and Tipton High School Music Auxiliary.
Margery is loved and survived by her daughters, Karen Harmon of Tipton, Iowa, Melanie (Barry) Langley of Wilton, Iowa, and Mary Sue Schott of Steubenville, Ohio; sons, John (Kathy) Schott Jr. of Tipton, Iowa, Ronald (Becky) Schott of Tipton, Iowa, Kenneth (Laura) Schott of Tipton, Iowa, and Thomas (Lori) Schott of Tipton, Iowa; grandchildren, Ronald Schott Jr., Devon Schott, Susan Stutzel, Jason Harmon, Becky Schott, Charles Harmon, Michael Schott, Daniel Schott, Joni Harmon, Quincy Schott, Wesley Schott, Lindsey Schott, Adam Schott, Kaleb Schott, Kiley Langley, and Karli Langley; great-grandchildren, Christopher Treimer, Tiffany Schott, Riley Schott, Lissy Barkley, Eban Barkley, Ty Stutzel, Sidney Stutzel, Jaxson Schott, and Kelsey Schott; sisters, Edith (Paul) Woeste of Dayton, Ohio, Helen Cruise of Dayton, Ohio, and Judy Keane of Dayton, Ohio; and brothers, Charles (Sally) Arnold of Columbus, Ohio, Earl Arnold of Waterford, Ohio, Leo Arnold of Waterford, Ohio, and Joseph (Linda) Arnold of Waterford, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Eleanor Arnold; sister, Clara Bradley; and brothers, Howard Arnold and Cecil Arnold.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tipton, Iowa. Burial will follow in the Woodbridge Cemetery, Buchanan, Iowa. Visitation was Sunday at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, Iowa.
A general memorial fund has been established in memory of Margery.
