Victor Meola was a resident of Canton, Ohio at the time of his death.


Walter Dale Caldwell

Sources conflict on children. Researcher Dolores Snider identifies Janet Caldwell as the daughter of Walter Caldwell. However, Walter Caldwell's obituary makes no mention of a daughter named Janet.

Obituary:
CALDWELL - Walter D. Caldwell, 86, of Summit
Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell, died at 10:42 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, at Southeastern Ohio
Regional Medical Center, Cambridge.
He was born Jan.26, 1919, in Sharon Township,
a son of the late Okey and Hettie Wiley Caldwell. After
graduation, he worked for T.W. Paterson until he went
to the Army. He later purchased a farm in Sharon
Township, and also worked as a rural letter carrier
for 28 years for Caldwell Route 5. He graduated from
Forest Grove High School and served in the Army
during World War II in the 330th Combat Engineer
in China, Burma, and India. He was a member of St.
Stephens Catholic Church of Caldwell and American
Legion, DAV and VFW of Caldwell.
Surviving are his wife, Angeline M. Noll Caldwell,
whom he married in 1941; a daughter, Alice and hus-
band Allen Tarleton of Caldwell; a granddaughter,
Carrie and husband Nick Timberlake of Caldwell;
a great-granddaughter, Ella Timberlake of Caldwell;
two sisters, Lois Radcliff of Caldwell and Helen
McCauley of Belle Valley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by two brothers, Robert and Charles Caldwell.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today,
Sept. 2, at the Murphy-McCurdy Funeral Home,
Caldwell with Scripture service at 8:30 p.m.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3,
2005, at St. Stephens Catholic Church, Caldwell,
with Father Dale Tornes officiating. Burial will be
in Sharon Cemetery with full military rites by the
Caldwell VFW 4721.


Angeline Mildred Noll

Angeline M. Caldwell age 93, of Caldwell, Oh passed away Tuesday March 4, 2014 at Southeastern Med in Cambridge, OH. She was born August 27, 1920 in Noble County, Oh a daughter of the late Charles and Anna Noll.

She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell. In years past, her hobbies included reading, playing cards, square dancing and fishing.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Walter D. “Dayle” Caldwell, who passed away on Aug. 31, 2005; 1 brother Johnny Noll; 3 sisters Marie Hohman, Ida Spence, and Eleanore Schaub.

She was loved and will be missed by her family, daughter Alice F. (Allen) Tarleton of Caldwell; granddaughter Carrie (Nick) Timberlake; great-granddaughter Ella Timberlake; 2 brothers Lawrence (Ruth) Noll of Zanesville and Raymond (Janet) Noll of Louisville, Oh; 2 sisters Florence Schoeppner of Zanesville and Emma Bogard of Canton. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends will be received Wednesday March 5, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, with a Vigil Service at 4:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday March 6, 2014 at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell, with Rev. Father Wayne Morris serving as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Sharon Cemetery near Caldwell.


Paul Linus Schaub

Paul L. Schaub, age 78, of Louisville, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed
away Friday, August 18, 2000, at the Joseph T. Nist Nursing Home following an extended
illness.
Paul was born September 3, 1921, in Canton, and was the son of the late Wesley and
Josephine (Pillot) Schaub. He was a former painter at Molly Stark Hospital, retiring in 1984
following 27 years of service. Paul was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the
European Theater where he was held captive as a prison of war. He was a member of North
Central Ohio Chapter 8 former POW's, the 80th Division Veteran's Association, V.F.W. Post
7490, American Legion Post 548, and the DAV 50 in Alliance. He was a member of the Public
Employee's Retirement Association. Paul was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in
Louisville.
Paul leaves behind, his wife of 53 years, Eleanore (Noll) Schaub, whom he married June 21,
1947; daughter and son-in-law, Victoria Lynn and Dan Oyer of Pickerington; sons and daughters-
in-law, P. David and Cheryl Schaub of Wadsworth and Ted and Jennie Schaub of Dublin;
sisters, Rita Hoover of Louisville, Emma Schaub of Louisville, and Mary Frank of Canton;
brothers, John and Tom Schaub, both of Louisville; 11 grandchildren; and special friends,
Bonnie Schaub and Debra Sell. He was preceded in death by sisters, Ozelma Stanley, Mildred
Stermer, Catherine Schumacher and Velma Schaub; brothers, Joseph, Donald and Theodore
Schaub.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, 10 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic
Church, with Msgr. Kenneth Miller officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Friends
may call Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville.

Alfred Vincent Schoeppner

Announcement of the wedding of Florence Noll and Alfred Schoeppner was published in the Zanesville Times Recorder on 22 Apr 1948:

Miss Florence Noll of 1209 Putnam avenue and Alfred Schoeppner
of 1223 Putnam avenue were married Saturday morning in St. Nicholas
Catholic church by Rv. Father Joseph G. Bender. Miss Virginia Schoeppner
was bridesmaid and Raymond Noll of Canton was best man.
Following the wedding, the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Noll
of Dexter City, Rt. 2, entertained with a dinner at their home for 40 guests.
The new Mrs. Schoeppner is a graduate of Dexter City high school. The
bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Beda Schoeppner of Cumberland, Rt. 1,
was graduated from Belle Valley high school. Both are employed at the
Mosaic Tile company. They are living at 1209 Putnam avenue.


Obituary:
Alfred V. Schoeppner, 63, of 210 Bryan Drive, died approximately 8 a.m.
Friday, Nov. 6, 1987, at his home after an apparent heart attack. A retired
employee of the Mosaic Tile Company and Newark Air Force Station, Mr.
Schoeppner was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic church and Disabled
American Veterans. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was born Jan. 19, 1924 in Fulda, son of the late Beda George Schoeppner
and Marilla Blackstone Schoeppner of Cumberland.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Florence Noll Schoep-
pner, whom he married April 17, 1948; two daughters, Diane Schoeppner of
Zanesville and Mrs. Richard (Beverly) Annibaldi of Dublin; one son, Kenneth
V. Schoeppner of Kingwood, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Andrew (Eileen) Kachilla,
Mrs. James (Pauline) Phipps, both of Cumberland, and Mrs. George (Virginia)
Brier of Caldwell; one brother, James Schoeppner of

Raymond Harley Noll

Anniversary announcement:

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Noll of Louisville celebrated their 50th anniversary with a family dinner June 30 in Bay Village. The dinner was given by their children and their spouses, Bruce and Tracy Noll of Bay Village, Ron and Connie Noll, and Greg and Michelle Noll of Louisville. The former Janet Wheadon and her husband were married July 9, 1951, in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Morges by the Rev. Paul Metzger. They attend St. Louis Catholic Church. There are three grandchildren. Noll is retired from Hilscher-Clarke Electric. Mrs. Noll is retired from Aultman
Hospital.

Marriage vows were exchanged by Miss Ruth B. Walchak,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Walchak of 1015 Eastman street,
and Lawrence Noll, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Noll of Cald-
well, Route 1, at 10 o’clock Saturday morning in St. Nicholas
Catholic church. The Rev. Fr. Thomas McLoughlin read the
double ring rites and officiated at the nuptial mass.
Mrs. Raymond Joseph was matron of honor and Richard
Hohman served as his uncle’s best man.
The bride, who was escorted by her brother, Theodore
Walchak, Jr., wore a gown of nylon tulle with basque bodice
which was pointed front and back. Inserts of pleated net high-
lighted the neckline. The full tulle skirt had scattered floral
lace appliqués and a wide scallop of French hand-clipped
lace to form a redingote effect. She wore a fingertip length
veil caught to a cap of pearl trimmed lace, and carried a
bouquet of white carnations and pink Sweetheart roses on
a prayer book.
Mrs. Joseph wore a ballerina length gown of taffeta with
marquisette overskirt and lace trim. A lace jacket topped the
strapless bodice. She wore a headdress of rosebuds and
baby breath with blue shoulder-length veil. Her bouquet was
a modified colonial arrangement of pink Sweetheart roses
and blue delphinium set in tufts of lacelon.
A wedding breakfast was served at Winsor’s and the recep-
tion was held during the afternoon at the American Lebanon
club. Aides were Mrs. Louis Ruppell, Mrs. Thomas Hocking,
Mrs. Forest Thompson, sisters of the bride, and Mrs. Alfred
Schoeppner, sister of the bridegroom.
When the newlyweds left for a short wedding trip, the new
Mrs. Noll wore a light blue dress with white accessories and
a corsage of white carnations and pink sweetheart roses.
The couple will live at 703 Lexington avenue.

Wesley D. Schaub

In 1910, 31 year old widower Wesley Schaub was a boarder in the hotel of William and Florence Fenton on East Main St. in Louisville, Nimishillen Twp., Stark County, Ohio. There were four other boarders in the hotel, two servants, and the Fenton's infant daughter. No other children lived in the household.

At the time of the 1920 census, Wesley Schaub (40) rented a home in Canton, Ohio where he lived with his wife, Josephine (30) and children Oselma (9), Mildred (8), Murland (6), Donald (4) and Wesley (2). The oldest three children attended school. Welsey Sr. was employed as a teamster.

In 1930, Wesley D. Schaub (51) and his wife Josephine (39) rented a farm on North Chapel (?) Road in Nimishillen Township, Stark County, Ohio. Living with them were children Joseph J. (17), Donald (16), John W. (13), Rita M. (10), Paul L. (9), Kathryn L. (6), Thomas J. (5), and Emma E. (4). Wesley's father and mother were both natives of Ohio.

Obituary from page 1 of the Louisville Herald on 7 Nov 1935:
Wesley Schaub, 57, died at his farm home one mile north of
here last Friday after an illness of two years.
Mr. Schaub leaves his widow, Josephine; six sons, Theodore
Schaub of Canton and Joseph Donald, John, Paul and Thomas at home;
seven daughters, Miss Thelma Schaub and Mrs. A. F. Stanton of Garfield,
Mildred, Mary, Rita, Catherine and Emma at home, and four sisters, Mrs.
Minnie Lorentz of Canton, Mrs. Lizzie Kilmer of Marietta, Mrs. Emma
Bentz and Mrs. C. Schaffer of Louisville.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the home. Rev.
A. B. Wilson of the U. B. church officiated. Burial in Union cemetery.

Mrs. Josephine M. Schaub, 53, if RD 1, Louisville, the widow of Wesley Schaub, died last Thursday morning in the home following a heart attack.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Allen Stanley of Garfield, Mrs. Marvin Stermer of Middlebranch, Mrs. Paul Hoover of Louisville, Catherine, Emma and Mary of he home; five sons, John and Joseph of Louisville, Corp. Donald and Corp. Thomas Schaub in France and Sgt. Paul Schaub who was a prisoner in Germany byt recently was liberated and was here for the funeral; five sisters, Mrs. George Wyman, Mrs. Linus Fete, Mrs. Frank Bowe, and Mrs. Esther Nesbit of Canton; three brothers, Joseph Pillot of Findlay, Charles and William Pillot of Louisville; one step-daughter, Miss Thelma Schaub, one step-son, Theodore Schaub of Louisville; and seven grandchildren.
Services were held at Sacred Heart of Mary Church in Harrisburg on Monday morning with burial in Union cemetery in Louisville.
