Dwight Kuhn of Zanesville spent the week-end with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Lawrence Kuhn.


Ruth Rose Crock

From the Zanesville Times Recorder, pg 8, 21 Oct 1946:
RUTH CROCK ENGAGED TO WED DWIGHT KUHN
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Crock of Caldwell announce
the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter,
Ruth, to Dwight Kuhn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence
Kuhn of Berne. The wedding will be an event of Nov. 5
in St. Mary’s church in Fulda.
Miss Crock was graduated from Caldwell high
school and is employed in the local branch of the Ohio Bell
Telephone company. She is a member of St. Nicholas Cath-
olic church. Mr. Kuhn was graduated from Elk rural high
school and is employed at the Detroit Harvester company.
He is a member of St. Michael’s Catholic church of Berne.

LOCAL COUPLE WED IN FULDA
Miss Ruth Crock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert
Crock of Caldwell, and Lawrence Dwight Kuhn, son of Mr.
and Mrs. L. D. Kuhn of Berne, were married Tuesday in St.
Mary's Catholic church of Fulda.
Miss Vera Crock served her sister as bridesmaid
and Clarence Sorg was best man for Mr. Kuhn. Following a
wedding dinner and reception at the home of the bride’s
parents, the couple left on a brief wedding trip. They now
reside at 1303½ Lake drive, this city [Zanesville].
The former Miss Crock is a graduate of Caldwell
high school and is employed by the local branch of the Ohio
Bell Telephone company. She is a member of St. Nicholas
Catholic church. Mr. Kuhn was graduated from Elk Rural
high school and is employed at the Detroit Harvester com-
pany. He is a member of St. Michael’s Catholic church of
Berne.

Ruth Crock Kuhn enjoys cards and was a member of the Friendly Niners Euchre Club in Zanesville.

Gladys Mary Crock

The following article appeared on page 4 of the Zanesville Times Recorder on 4 Jul 1940:
STITCH--IN--TIME 4--H CLUB
Thursday afternoon the Stitch-in-Time 4-H club met
at Fulda School at 1 o’clock. Nineteen members were present,
and the advisor, Marcella Fox. Several of the girls had completed
their projects.
Plays were practiced, several songs were sung. Demon-
strations were given on sewing on snaps by Vera Crock; sewing
on buttons by Ardelia Miller; working blanket stitch by Rita
Smithberger; filled stitch by Gladys Crock; working button hole
by Elenora Roehirg. The roll call was answered by naming a fav-
orite tree. Refreshments were served by Eileen Weisent, Arline
Schoeppner, Gladys Crock, Alberta Arnold. The next meeting
will be on July 11 at 1 o’clock at Fulda school.

Mrs. Herbert Archer is the former Miss Gladys Crock,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Crock of Caldwell. Her wedding
was an event of July 30 in St. Mary's Catholic church, Fulda. Mr.
Archer is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Archer of Summerfield.
The couple is residing at Canton, Route 1.


Laverne Lillian Crock

The following announcement appeared in The Times Recorder (Zanesville, OH) on June 28, 1954
LAVERNE CROCK TO BE MARRIED
Mr. and Mrs. Albert C. Crock of Caldwell are announcing
the betrothal of their daughter, Laverne to Donald Lee King
son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford King also of Caldwell.
The wedding will be in August.
Miss Crock is a graduate of Caldwell high school and is
employed in this city by Modern Motor company. Mr. King is
serving with the Navy and is stationed in San Francisco, Calif.


Ronald Edward Crock

Ron Crock was a member of the Fulda high school graduating class of 1953. There were five graduates in the class, making it the smallest graduating class in Noble County that year.

Ronald Edward Crock's obituary was published in The Columbus (OH) Dispatch newspaper on March 23, 2007
Ronald E. Crock, 70, of Pickerington, passed away on Friday, March
22, 2007.
He was born Nov. 26, 1936, in Fulda, and spent 32 years working at
AT&T, from which he retired in 1991. Ron was an active member of St.
Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and its St. Vincent DePaul Society.
Ron was a beloved husband, father, Papa, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ida and Albert Crock; and
sisters Irene Dalton and Vera Sorg.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Betty; children Al (Lori),
Brian (Lisa) and Diane (Mike) Ouimet; grandchildren Sarah, Ben, Emily
and Paul Crock, Kurt and Ryan Ouimet; and sisters Ruth Kuhn, Gladys
Archer, Laverne King and Joanne Smithberger.
Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday with
a Vigil Service to be at 7:30 p.m at Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home,
550 Hill Road N. (State Route 256) Pickerington.
A Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton
Catholic Church with Father James Klima and Monsignior Edward Fairchild
as celebrants. Interment will follow at Violet Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The St. Vincent DePaul
Society, 600 Hill Road N., Pickerington, OH 43147 in Ron's memory.

Lawrence W. Kuhn

The following appeared in The Times Recorder (Zanesville, OH) newspaper on Jan 15, 1926
REPORTED IMPROVED
Lawrence Kuhn, Berne, who was severely scalded when he fell into
a vat of boiling water at the power plant of the Ohio Fuel Supply com-
pany at Elk Fork, where he is employed, a few days ago, is slowly
improving, but still confined to his bed.

In 1930, Lawrence W. Kuhn (30) rented a farm for $6 a month in Stock Twp., Noble County, Ohio. Living with him were his wife Gertrude M. (29) and children Dwight L. (6) and Roma E. (3 yrs 4 mos.). Dwight attended school. Lawrence was employed as an operator at a gasoline plant. The family did not own a radio set. Neighboring farms in the census belonged to George Leasure and William J. Dimmerling.

spent Monday visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ritterbeck of near
Summerville.
