Rita said when she graduated high school in 1949 she moved to Canton for about 5 months, was laid off and moved to Zanesville, lived with her great Aunt Mary, widow of Ambrose, for about a month, got a job at Essex Wire. Also living there with Aunt Mary were 2 of her grown children, Margaret who had been married and divorced and Fred who had never married. Hugo had died in WW1.

CALDWELL SOLDIER LEAVES SERVICE
Pfc. James E. Ritterbeck of Headquarters Battery, 544th Field Artillery Battalion, Fort Campbell, has received an honorable dischcarge from the army. As a member for Headquarters Battery, Pfc. Ritterbeck proved himself to be an excellent radio-telephone operator. He took part in "Operation Snow Fall: at Camp Drum, N.Y. in December of 1951 and helped test winter equipment for the armed forces. He is also a graduate of the Fort Benning, Georgia, Airborne school.
Prior to his entry into the army Ritterbeck attended high school in Caldwell. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ritterbeck of Route 4 Caldwell.
