Don Clayton Briggs

Don Briggs was died as a result of head and chest injuries suffered in a two-car collision that killed two people in the other car. His wife Eleanor was injured, but survived.


Raymond John Tornes

Records conflict:
In the 1920 and 1930 census, Raymond Tornes' wife's name is Blanche. However, researcher Trudi Tipton Joseph has Raymond J. Tornes married to Caroline Lang.

On 5 Jun 1917, 21 year old Raymond John Tornes of Lowell, Ohio filled out a US military draft registration card. He stated that he was born on 6 Jan 1896 in Watertown Twp., Ohio, and that he worked on his father's farm in Watertown. He was not married. Raymond was described as being tall and slender with dark brown eyes and dark brown hair. He had no obvious physical disabilities.

In 1920, Raymond (24) and Blanche (22) Tornes owned a farm in Watertown, Washington County Ohio. There were no children in the household. The farm next door belonged to Raymond's father, John Tornes.

At the time of the 1930 census, Raymond Tornes (34) owned a farm in Watertown, Washington County, Ohio where he lived with his wife Blanche (32) and their three children, Virginia (6), Harold (3 yrs 9 mos) and Ella Mae (1 mo.). Virginia attended school.
