Vincent P. Samblanet

In 1910, 15 year old Vincent Samblanet lived on his parent's farm in Nimishillin Twp., Stark Co., OH with several older siblings. He attended school that year.

Obituary:
Vincent P. Samblanet, age 91, of 422 Brookfield Ave., Louisville, passed away Thursday, Jan. 1 [1987] at the Americare Center in Alliance following a short illness. Born in Harrisburg, March 30, 1895 to the late August and Jennie Frantz Samblanet, he retired after 43 years of service with Schneider Lumber & Storage Co. of Canton, also serving as Vice-President of the company. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Ch8rch and Louisville K of C Council 2530.
He is survived by his wife, Florence (Bishop) of the home. (Mr. and Mrs. Samblanet would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary June 21.); three sons, Paul of North Canton, Robert and Joseph, both of Louisville; three daughters, Mrs. Francis (Ruth) Gulling of Louisville, Mrs. Thomas (Alice) Vignos of North Canton, and Sister Grace Marie (Dorothy) of Chicago; 30 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Ester Ruppel in 1979.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday Jan. 5 at 10 a.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church, burial in the church cemetery. Calling hours were Sunday Jan. 4 in the Paquelet Funeral Home.


Florence M. Bishop

In 1920, 20 year old Florence Bishop lived on the family farm in Louisville, Nimishillin Twp., Stark County, Ohio with her parents and younger siblings. Florence was employed as a stenographer for the clerk of courts.

Florence M. Samblanet, age 91, of St. Joseph Hospice passed away Friday Sept. 28
[1990] following a short illness. Born Jun 21, 1899 to the late Henry and Anna Warner
Bishop, she lived in Stark County for 75 years. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic
Church, St. Ann’s Altar and Rosary Society and the Columbus Women’s Club.
She is survived by three sons: Paul of North Canton, Robert of Sarasota, Florida, and
Joseph of Louisville; three daughters, Mrs. Francis (Ruth) Gulling of Louisville, Sister Grace
Marie (Dorothy) of Chicago, IL, and Mrs. Thomas (Alice) Vignos of North Canton; one
sister, Mrs. Arlene Schumacher of Louisville, 33 grandchildren, and 42 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent; a daughter, Esther Rupple; brothers
Harold and Oscar; sisters, Freda, Lillian, Lucille, and Leona.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Louis Church with burial in
the church cemetery. Calling hours were on Sunday in the Paquelet Funeral Home. St. Ann’s
and the Columbus Women’s Club also held services at the funeral home.


Dorothy Samblanet

Dorothy Samblanet entered the convent as Sister Grace Marie. She was living in Chicago in 1990.


Dolores L. Lowery

Obituary:

Dolores L. Werner, age 76, of East Canton died Sunday in her daughters home following a brief illness. Daughter of the late Clarence and Gladys (Rebstock) Lowery. She was a life resident of the East Canton area, former owner/operator of the East Canton Dairette and was formerly employed by US Ceramic Tile in East Sparta. She was a life member of Indian Run Christian Church, and a 1945 graduate of East Canton High School. She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Norman Schafer in 1951; second husband, Carl Werner in 1983; one step-son, Jack Werner; one brother, Wayne Lowery; and one sister, Twila McGee. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Norma and John "Doug" Johnson of Canton, Trena Werner of East Canton; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Jenny Werner of Tiffin, OH; one step-daughter and her spouse, Donna and Jim Murrey of Canton; two grandsons, Brian Johnson of Canton, Phillip Werner of Tiffin; four step-grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Cleary of Malvern; one brother and sister-in-law, C. Dale and Claudia Lowery of Alabama. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Indian Run Christian Church with Terry Bailey officiating. Interment in Indian Run Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday (today) 5-8 p.m. in the Myers - Kreighbaum - Sanders Funeral Home and one hour before services at the church (10-11 a.m.) In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Foundation or the Indian Run Church Sunday School Department.
