Larry T. Neff, age 44, of Hartville, loving husband, father, son, and brother, passed away Friday, July 26, 2002 in Mercy Medical Center following a sudden illness. Larry was born May 6, 1958 in Canton. He was a graduate of Louisville High School and attended St. Louis Catholic Church. He was a fabricator for the Ravenna Aluminum Company. Larry was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and gardening. He enjoyed reading, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and supporting Louisville High School football. Larry especially took pleasure in the time he spent with friends and family just talking about anything that came to mind.
Larry leaves behind his wife of 18 years, Cheryl (Whitacre) of the home; a daughter, Desire Neff, his mother, Eleanor (Bishop) Neff) of Louisville; three sisters, and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Gary Hyatt of North Carolina, Gail and Gary Evans of Louisville, and Julie and Joseph Teppert of Louisville; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Chuck Neff, Dan and Kay Neff, Bob and Char Neff, Tom Neff, and Mike and Debbie Neff, all of Louisville; a brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Donna Whitacre of Texas, mother and father-in-law, Jan and Ralph McCully of Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose Ida Schott

Social Security # issued in Illinois prior to 1951.

Nineteen year old unmarried Rose Schott did not live with her parents and siblings at the time of the 1910 census. In 1910, 19 year old Rose Schott lived as a roomer in the home of attorney Joseph Mayhugh Jr. (41) and his wife Eliza J. (42) at 111 Hawkins Ave. in North Braddock, Allegheny Co., Pa. The Mayhughs, like Rose, were born in Ohio. Rose was unemployed.

There were only two women named Ros* Smithberger in the 1920 US Census; both lived in Ohio. One was Rose Zwick Smithberger, 40 year old wife of George Smithberger in Noble County. The other was 26 year old unmarried Rose Smithberger, an office worker in Cleveland who was one of several boarders in the home of P. W. West. According to the census, Rose and her parents were natives of Pennsylvania. It's possible that the census taker visited the West home while most of the occupants were at work, and Mrs. West answered the census questions as best she could.
