John Raymond Antill

Obituary of John R. Antill from the Chandler Funeral Home August 9, 2007

John R. Antill March 20, 1923 - August 7, 2007

His Legacy.... John R. Antill, age 84, of Middleburg, OH passed away Tuesday (Aug 7, 2007) at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville, OH. He was born March 20, 1923 in Lebanon, OH a son of the late Isaac and Sophia Wise Antill.

John was a member of the Caldwell VFW Post # 4721, Dexter City American Legion Post # 418, Caldwell Moose Lodge 221 and retired from construction work. He served and protected his country in the U.S. Army during WWII fighting in 4 major battles in France, Germany & Belgium.

His Family... Surviving are his wife Evelyn Brotton Antill of the home, whom he married July 10 1947; 2 Sons Jack (Nancy) Antill of Caldwell, OH and Jeff Antill of Middleburg; 4 Grandchildren Jessica Antill, Bernie (Ryan) Moore, Isaac Antill and Kellie Antill; 2 Great-Grandchildren Drew Antill and Evie Moore; Granddaughter-in-law Marie Fleeman Antill; Also survived by several nieces, nephews and his dog PeeWee.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by Grandson Jackie R. Antill, 3 Sisters and 3 Brothers.

His Farewell Service... Graveside services will be observed Friday (Aug 10, 2007) at 11:00 AM at the Rado Ridge Cemetery near Middleburg with Rev. Thurman Harmon and Rev. Helen Lewis Officiating, where the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations will conduct military graveside services. Memorial Contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society Noble County, 870 Michigan Ave., Columbus, OH 43215 in John’s Memory. Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell has been entrusted to care for the family.

Ralph Dale Postlewait

Ralph Dale Postlethwait January 18, 1925 - March 30, 2007

His Legacy.... Ralph Dale Postlethwait, age 82, of Caldwell, Ohio died Friday morning (March 30, 2007) at his residence. He was born January 18, 1925 in Wallace, W.V. a son of the late Columbus Everett and Georgie L. (Boggess) Postlethwait. Ralph served and protected his country with the Army in the European Theater during WWII. He was a Private First Class with the 350th Infantry Regiment and was also a member of the 88th “Blue Devil” Infantry Division. Ralph was a member of the Belle Valley American Legion Post # 641, Caldwell VFW Post #4721, United Mine Workers of America Local #1604, Past Member of the Operating Engineers. He was an avid outdoorsman including hunting, camping and fishing. He enjoyed playing golf and traveling. He was a fan of all auto racing especially NASCAR.

His Family... He is survived by Wife Patricia Ann (Cooper) Postlethwait of the home, whom me married May 25, 1949; 2 Sons Randy A. (Laura) Postlethwait of Shreveport, LA and Richard D. (Christy) Postlethwait of Caldwell; Daughter Beverly R. of Caldwell; 4 Grandchildren Bryan, Renae, Zach and Michael; 2 Great Grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by four brothers Columbus Everett Jr., Victor Earl, Donald Edward and George Gerald Postlethwait.

His Farewell Service... Friends will be received Monday (April 2, 2007) from 6 to 8 pm at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724. A Memorial Service will immediately follow visitation in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel at 8:00 pm with the Pastor Terry Schmelzenbach Officiating. The Noble County Veterans Service Organization will hold military services at the funeral home. A private committal service will take place at the convenience of the family. Her Legacy.... Patricia Ann Postlethwait, age 74, of Caldwell, OH passed away Monday (February 25, 2008) at her residence. She was born January 24, 1934 in Charleston, W.V. a daughter of the late Seybert and Goldie Turley Cooper.

Patricia enjoyed searching for antiques, unique flowers and visiting the ocean. She also enjoyed spending time reading and most of all visiting with family and friends in her kitchen which was the family meeting place.
Her Family... She is survived by 2 Sons Randy A. (Laura) Postlethwait of Shreveport, LA and Richard D. (Christy) Postlethwait of Caldwell; Daughter Beverly R. Koehler of Caldwell; 4 Grandchildren Bryan, Renae, Zach and Michael; 3 Great Grandchildren Andrew, Lizzie and Maebyn; 3 Sisters Kay Postlethwait of East Union, OH, Tinie Postlethwait of Huntington, W.V. and JoAnne (Bernard) Fetty Jr. of St. Mary's, W.V.; 1 Brother Gordon (Sue) Cooper, Red House, W.V.; Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Ralph Dale Postlethwait, who passed away March 30, 2007 and whom she spent her life with since their marriage on May 25, 1949. Two Sisters Faye Johnson and Tede Hudnall.

Her Farewell Service... Friends will be received Saturday (March 1, 2008) from 2 to 4 pm at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724. A Memorial Service will immediately follow visitation in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel at 4:00 pm with Pastor Jim Garrett Officiating. A private committal service will take place at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be directed to the Caldwell Elementary School Library - In Memory of Patricia, 44350 Fairground Rd, Caldwell, OH 43724.


Donald Levi Saling

Obituary SOURCE: McVay Perkins Funeral Home . . . . Caldwell, OH . . . Jan 2003 Donald Levi Saling, age 15, of Summerfield, Ohio, died Saturday (1/4/2003) at
his residence. He was born 10/7/1985 at Marietta, Ohio a son of Gerald Alan &
Kelly J. Whetstone Saling. He was an eight grade student at Shenandoah Elementary
School at Sarahsville, where he was a member of the Jr. High Wrestling Team. He
enjoyed mechanic work, model cars, drawing and singing. He had attended the Sharon
Community Church in Sharon, Ohio. He is preceded in death by a sister Carissa Saling; paternal grandmother Elizabeth
Cora Saling, maternal grandfather Ralph F. Whetstone, Sr. and an uncle William
Chappelear. In addition to his parents he is survivied by 5 brothers Gerald A. ''AJ'', Jr., Brandon
Curtis, Travis Lewis, Gilbert Dwight & Kyle Lee Saling all of the home; paternal grand-
father Elmer L. Saling of Fulda, maternal grandmother Marilyn Williams Whetstone of
Summerfield, several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Friends may call Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home
in Caldwell, where services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with the Rev. William
Pickenpaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Harmony Christian Cemetery near Derwent,
