Joseph Franklin Haren Sr.

Birthdate verified as per film # 777188. The document is printed in German language with actual birth being recorded in French handwriting.

In 1850, Joseph (24) and Catherine (21) Horn lived in Malaga Twp., Monroe County, Ohio. The census indicates that they had been married within the year. No children lived in the household. Both were natives of Germany. Joseph was a farmer who did not own any real estate. Adjacent farms in the census belonged to Casper Yocky and Phillip Yockey, both German natives.

James O. Stephens, 81, of 64895 Belmont-Morristown Road, Belmont, died Tuesday,
January 18, 1994 at his home. he was born January 8, 1913 near Boston, son of the late
Joseph and Lillie M. Davis Stephens. He was retired from Belmont Electric and was a
member of Loyal Order of Moose, Barnesville.
Mr. Stephens was preceded in death by five brothers: Albert M., Chester A., John T.,
Wilbur Francis and Ernest Stephens, and an infant sister, Sarah Stephens. He leaves his wife,
Mary E. Burkhart Stephens; a son Clarence E. Stephens of Tacoma, Washington; two daughters,
Lilly Bryant of Huntsville, Texas, and Virginia Lee Cook, of Barnesville; two brothers, Fred T.
Stephens of Quaker City and Alfred D. Stephens of Valparaiso, Indiana; two sisters, Mary Elsie
Higgins of Woodsfield and Edna Pearl Schwallie of Cambridge; nine grandchildren and several great
grandchildren.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home,
where services will be 1 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda.
