CHASE - Mrs. Nadine Brown, 50, died Saturday at Denver, Colo. Born July 15, 1924, in Kansas, she was married to Gerald Brown, June 13, 1964 at Jackson, Wyo. She was a former Chase resident.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Chase.
Survivors are the widower; brothers, Fred E. Muth, Steamboat Springs, Colo.; Ray Muth, Great Bend; sisters: Mrs. Mary Vance, Chatsworth, Ill., Mrs. John Lynn, Edgewater, Colo., Mrs. Curt Ingham, Chase.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with Msgr. Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

According to the Social Security Death Index, Nadine Brown was a resident of Golden, Jefferson Co., Colorado at the time of her death. Social Security number issued in Wyoming in 1956 or 1957.

Frederick E. Muth, 80, died peacefully Feb. 4, 2000 at home surrounded by his family. He was born Nov. 9, 1919 to Anthony Frederick and Cora Ann Naylor Muth, in Putnam, Texas. He married Marilyn Margaret Link on June 17, 1944 in Chase, Kan.
Fred served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a very patriotic person who loved his country. He was a member of the VFW Post #4264, Steamboat Springs, Colo.
He had many years in the oil business as a driller and tool pusher. He worked for the Steamboat Pilot newspaper for almost 20 years as a printer. Fred also owned Fred Muth and Sons Carpet business in Steamboat Springs, Colo. When Fred was younger, he worked at Hawelson Hill Ski Jump area in Steamboat Springs, helping to mark the ski jumpers. He also held the position of captain of the Rautt County Sheriff's Posse.
Fred moved to Vernal in 1979 and went to work for Parish Oil Tools until he retired in 1981. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church. He loved going to early mass and visiting with his friends. He loved fishing at Dinosaur Lake, gardening, snowplowing and his animals. He was particularly fond of his dogs, CeeCee, Missy and Sparky, which he received from his friend, Hazy Werner.
Fred is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marilyn; sons, Robert F. and Sally Muth, Salida, Colo.; Mark and Benna Muth, Vernal; Nick and Kathryn Muth, Red Lodge, Mt.; along with five grandchildren; sisters, Mary Helen Richter, Castle Rock, Colo.; Shirley Ann Ingram, Chase, Kan.; and Barbara Lynn, Las Vegas, Nev.
A Rosary and memorial mass were held at St. James Catholic Church in Vernal.
Fred will be buried in the Fort Logan National Cemetery with full military honors under the direction of Thomson's Vernal Mortuary.
The family would like to thank everyone who was there for them during this time, especially the Hospice of the Basin ladies, Sandy, Susan and Corey. We love you all.
