Anthony Lawrence Reischman

Anthony does not appear with the family in the 1920 census. He was a resident of Monroe County at the time of his death.


Lucille Geneiveve Miller

In addition to being husband and wife, Lucille Miller and Anthony Miller were second cousins, once removed. The couple married late in life and had no children.

Obituary (from Betty Hartley):
Lucy G. Reischman, 86, Woodsfield Nursing and
Rehab Center, formerly of 53491 Boston Road, Jerusalem,
died Monday, December 9, 1996, in the center. She was
born July 30, 1910 in Boston, Ohio, a daughter of the late
Edward and Clara Reischman Miller. She was a member
of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Miltonsburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death
by her husband, Anthony "Dutch" Reischman; four brothers, Otto,
Clem, John and Charles Miller; four sisters, Dorothy Miller, Mar-
cella Miller, Cecili Miller, and Stella Biedenbach.
Surviving are a brother, Jim Miller of Chillicothe, four
sisters, Viola Lynn and Frances Weilbacker, both of Columbus,
Ada Ackerman of Batesville and Hilda Robb of Woodsfield; sev-
eral nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday
at Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville. Funeral liturgy with Mass
will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist
Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fred Kihm officiating. Burial
follows in St. John Cemetery.

Mary Ann Kuhn

Obituary source: Daily Jeffersonian dated September 15, 2001 WOODSFIELD - Mary Ann Reischman, 86, of Monroe Manor, Woodsfield, died Saturday (Sept. 15, 2001), at her home. She was born June 22, 1915, in Monroe County, daughter of the late Elias Henry and Fannie Pearl (Carpenter) Kuhn. Mrs. Reischman was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lewisville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Lawrence Reischman; two brothers, Guy and Clyde Kuhn; and a sister, Katherine Darby. She leaves four sons, Paul Reischman of Mansfield; Michael Reischman of Edgefield, S. Car.; John Reischman and Pete Reischman of San Antonio, Tex.; four daughters, Thelma Smith of Beallsville; Joyce Truax of Woodsfield; Priscilla Lumbatis of Canal Fulton; and Barbara Carpenter of Woodsfield; 26 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield, where services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday with Fr. David Gaydosik officiating. Burial will be in Calais Cemetery.


Rosemary Reischman

The person who filled out Rosemary Reischman's death certificate inadvertantly wrote the current year for her year of birth, making her birth date nine dayes after her date of death. In reality, little Rosemary died nine days before her second birthday.


Peter Reischman

In 1930, farmer Peter Reischman (47) and his wife Theresa (43) rented a farm in Malaga Twp., Monroe Co., Ohio where they lived with their children Clarence (18), Lawrence (16), and Angeline (4 urs, 2 mos.). Only Lawrence attended school. Unlike many of their neighbors, the Reischman family owned a radio set.

Obituary:
WOODSFIELD - Funeral services for Peter Reischman were held in the
Church of the Assumption in Barnesville Monday morning and burial was
in the Catholic cemetery there. Mr. Reischman, 68, died at his home in
Barnesville Friday night. He was a retired farmer and had spent practically
all his life in the Miltonsburg community in Monroe county. He was born
on September 17, 1881.
He is survived by his widow, Theresa Reischman, two sons, Clarence of
Warwood, W. Va., and Anthony of Woodsfield; a daughter, Mrs. Robert
Sanders of Dillonvale; three sisters, Mrs. Barbara Baker of Woodsfield, Mrs.
Joseph Burkhart of Barnesville, and Mrs. Lewis Harper of Cambridge, and
nine grandchildren.

Theresa Reasbeck Reischman's obituary appeared in the Zanesville Time Recorder on 26 Feb 1970:
BARNESVILLE -- Mrs. Theresa F. Reischman, 82, formerly of Barnesville, died at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday (Feb 24) in St. John Hospital in Steubenville. She had been a patient in a Steubenville rest home the past three years.
Mrs. Reischman was born March 29, 1887 at Batesville, a daughter of Martin and Hannah Van Meter Reasbeck. She was a member of Barnesville Church of the Assumption, the Altar Society and the Rosary Society. Her husband, Peter, died in 1950. A brother and six sisters are also deceased.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert Sanderson of Dillonvale; two sons, Clarence of Wheeling, W. Va., and Lawrence of Canton; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Campbell-Plumly Funeral Home here after 1 p.m. today. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at the Church of the Assumption, conducted by Rev. Fr. John J. Reardon. Burial will be in the church cemetery.


Harry Lieb Lynn

In 1930, Harry L. Lynn (44) owned a home worth $3000 at 318 West South Street in Barnesville, Belmont County, Ohio. Living with him were his wife, Lucy (36) and children Harry C. (9), and Betty J. (4 yrs 8 mos.). Harry and his parents were natives of Ohio, as was everyone else in the household. Harry was employed as a brakeman on the railroad. The Lynn family owned a radio set.

Henry Sylvester Turner

In 1900, Henry S. Turner (25) lived with his parents and seven younger siblings in Beaver Twp., Noble County, Ohio. He worked as a day laborer and had been out of work for four months of the previous year.

In 1920, Henry Turner (48) rented part of a two-family house at 726 May St. in Akron, Summit County, Ohio. Living in the household with Henry were his wife Theresa (37), and seven children: Marie (14), Emma (12), Francis (10), Bertha (9), John (7), Paul (5), and infant Harold. The oldest four children attended school. Hnery was employed as a carpenter at a rubber company.

Theresa Reischman Turner's obituary appeared in the Zanesville Times Recorder on 28 Noc 1969:
BARNESVILLE -- Mrs. Theresa Turner, 87, formerly of Barnesville, died at
10 p.m. Wednesday (Nov 26) in Akron City Hospital where she had been a patient
for 10 days. She had lived in Akron a number of years. Born March 4, 1882, in
Barnesville, she was a daughter of Jacob and Mary Wagner Reischman.
Surviving are four sons and two daughters; four brothers Ben of Guelth, Ontario, Canada, Lawrence of Bakersfield,, Calif., Charles of Old Washington and Edward of
Akron; three sisters, Mrs. Lucy Thompson of Akron, Mrs. Hubert Anderson and Mrs.
Charles Froelich, both of Barnesville.
Services and burial will be in Akron.


Katherine Reischman

FORMER RESIDENT DIES OF ACCIDENT INJURIES
Barnesville relatives and friends have been greatly
shocked to learn of the death of Mrs. Katherine Reischman
Brandle, a former resident of this city, but of recent years, of
Long Beach, California. Mrs. Brandle was injured internally
in an automobile accident Saturday, December 10, and passed
away the following Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at a Long Beach
Hospital, although everything was done to save her that could
be done.
Mrs. Brandle was a daughter of the late Jacob Reisch-
man and Mrs. Mary Reischman of West Main Street. She was
born and reared west of town, and since her marriage, had
made many trips home. Her last visit was in August. Shortly
after that, on October 8, her husband, Lewis P. Brandle, died
very suddenly.
