Damian Thomas Kullman

Surname is spelled Coleman by Delores Snider, Kullman in 1900 census.

The "Fulda" column of the Caldwell Citizens' Press stated on 18 Nov 1882:
Married -- On the 21st, at St. Michael's Church, Damian Kuttman
and Nancy Archer

Nancy Ellen Archer

In 1900, recently widowed Nancy Archer Kullman lived in a house in Stock Twp., Noble Co., Ohio with her seven surviving children: Martin (15), Adrian (13), Baltria (10), Matilda (7), Julian (4), Rosa (2), and Mary (8 months). (There is no indication of whether the house was rented or owned.) All seven children attended school. Everyone in the home older than 6 could read and write. Nancy Kullman had given birth to two other children who died prior to 1900. Nancy's occupation is "day laborer." Adjacent farms were owned by Nancy's father, and her first cousin, C. Michael Archer.

At the time of the 1910 census, widow Nancy E. Kullman (44) owned a home on Chestnut Street in Dresden Village, Jefferson Twp., Muskingum County, Ohio. She lived there with her children Martin E. (25), Jennie (?) (23, female), Adrian (20, male), Agnes (17), Julian A. (14), Millie (12), and Mary I. (10). .Julian, Millie, and Mary attended school. Nancy Kullman was not employed, although her oldest four children were. The census indicates that 7 of Nancy's nine children were still living in 1910.

Nancy Kullman has not been found in the 1920 or 1930 census.

There is some confusion about children #s 2, 3, 4 and 5 in Nancy's family. Dolores Snider, citing church and local records, has
John Adrian 29 Nov 1886
Adrianna 26 Jul 1889
Baltria 26 Jul 1889 (no baptismal record found)

The 1900 census has:
Adrian E. Jun 1886 -- male
Balria Nov 1889 -- female

The 1910 census has:
Jennie c. 1886 -- female -- weaver (?) woolen mill
Adrian c. 1889 -- male -- otener (?) in a rolling mill

The obituary of Jane "Jennie" Kullman Cullins states that she was born on 29 Nov 1887. The obituary also states that Jane had two surviving siblings and six who predeceased her, for a total of 9 children in the family.

Further research has to be done to clarify the names and birthdates of children in this family.

Nancy Ellen Archer Kullman Culbertson’s obituary was published in the Zanesville Signal on 7 Apr 1935:
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ellen Culbertson, 68, who
died Friday morning at her home in Dresden, will be held at
9 o’clock Monday morning at St. Anne’s Catholic church in
Dresden, of which she was a member. She died following
a cerebral hemorrhage which she suffered Thursday.
A native of Carlisle, she had lived in Dresden for 35 years.
Surviving are her husband, Elmer, four daughters, Mrs. Charles
Cullins, Trinway; Mrs. T. P. Kennedy and Mrs. C. F. Ward, Col-
umbus; and Mrs. A. R. Smith, this city, and two sons, Julian
Kullman, Dresden, and Martin Kullman, Sparta.

Charles Kullman

Charles Coleman is not listed in the 1900 or 1910 census with his family. He is presumed to have died prior to 1900.

Mary Irene Kullman

Maria Kullman lived in Buckeye Lake, OH at the time of her sister Jane's death in 1962.

William Kullman

Sources conflict on spelling of surname:
Coleman -- Dolores Snider, 1900 census
Kullman -- 1910, 1920 and 1930 census
Kuhlman -- obituary of brother Phillip

In 1900, 29 year old farmer William Coleman lived on a farm that he owned in Stock Twp, Noble County, Ohio with his 24 year old wife Ann and their three children: Clifford (6), Mary (3), and Pluma (1). William and Ann could read and write English.

At the time of the 1910 census, farmer William Kullman (35) and his wife Amy (36) lived in Stock Twp. with their chilren Clifford (15), Alice (13), and Pluma (11).

In 1920, Wm. Kullman still owned a farm in Stock Twp. where he lived with his second wife, Josephine, his daughters, Mary A. (22) and Pluma (20). The adjacent farm in the census belonged to W. E. Archer.

In 1930, William (59) and Josephine (48) Kullman lived alone on their farm in Stock Twp. Neighboring farms belonged to Beda Hill and Adam Warner.
