A report in the Zanesville Times Recorder on 26 Jun 1969 stated:
Stephen H. Michel, son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Michel of Caldwell Route
1, was recently assigned to the 5th Infantry Division (Mechanized) near
Quang Tri, Vietnam, as an infantryman.
