MISS MARILYN MILLER BECOMES MRS. JOSEPH GILBERT MARTINEZ Miss Marilyn Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rupert
J. Miller, 200 Yale Ave., became the bride of Joseph
Gilbert Martinez, son of Mr. and Mrs. A.S. Martinez,
1613 Maple Drive, Lorain, in St. Mary's Church Saturday.
The Rev. James P. McCann heard the couple's vows at
9:30 a.m. when a nuptial High Mass was celebrated.
Marilyn's brother Jerald Miller and Gary Sadowski were
servers. The altar was decorated with beauty baskets of white
mums and carnations and flanked with palms and
candelabra. Lilies and ferns formed an archway and
pews were marked with white bows. The wedding music, offered by Mrs. Louis Kelopus,
organist, and Edwin Elbert, soloist, included the Mass,
Missa Brevia by Montani, the offertory, Ave Maria by
Howard, and Panis Angelicus by Franck at communion.
Mother, Oh, Forget Us Not was sung as the bride placed
a bouquet of white carnations on the altar of the blessed
Virgin. THE BRIDE, given in marriage by her father, chose a
gown of white Chantilly lace over satin, fashioned with a
bouffant skirt which extended into a chapel-length train.
The fitted bodice was enhanced with lace, rhinestones,
and seed pearls; long sleeves came to points over her
wrists. Her veil was held in place with a tiara of seed
pearls and she wore a white-gold cross, the gift of the
bride-groom. The cascade bridal bouquet was of white
carnations and ferns, tied with white satin. Ellen Louise Archer, maid of honor, appeared in a
ballerina-length princess style dress of nylon over net
in ice-blue shade. It was styled with a square neckline,
puffed sleeves, and a back-bow which created a bustle
effect. To her crown of seed pearls was caught veiling
to match her dress. She carried a cascade arrangement
of pink carnations tied with pink satin. THE BRIDESMAIDS, Coletta Marie Blair and Elizabeth
Carol Yunker, were in identical frocks in rose pink shade.
Their flowers were deep pink carnations accented with
matching satin ribbon; all attendants wore pearl earrings,
gifts of the bride. Kathy Ann Miller, the bride's sister, was flower girl. She
was in a miniature version of the honor maid's gown and
wore pink flowers in her hair. Gregg Curillo attended Mr. Martinez as best man and
ushers were Angel Martinez, brother of the bridegroom,
and Bob Smith. The wedding breakfast and dinner were served at the
Miller home. A RECEPTION for 250 guests was held at the Mosse
Hall from 8 to 12 p.m. Refreshment tables were decorated
with pink carnations and the bouquets of the attendants.
Hostesses were Pat Rufo, Betty Lou Meyers, Mrs. Frank
Yunker, Mrs. Nyle Hahn, Mrs. Harold Archer, and Mrs.
Joseph Meyers. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Miller chose a beige
sheath dress and accessories in an ash rose shade. Pink
carnations were in her corsage. The bridegroom's mother was in a rose sheath dress
with mink trim. Her corsage was of white carnations. FOR THE newlywed's honeymoon trip the bride donned
a blue knit suit with black accessories. On their return they
will make their home at 1613 Maple Drive, Lorain, The new Mrs. Martinez is a 1956 graduate of Elyria dis-
