William J. Preusser Sr., age 80, of Massillon, passed away in his homeThursday afternoon. Born in Canton he was the son of the late Henry andCarla Preusser. A graduate of McKinley High School; William served in theU.S. Coast Guard during World War II; and in 1949 was the founder of theHercules Fence Company of Canton. He was a member of Canton Baptist
Temple. He is survived by his wife, Thelma L. (Greathouse) Preusser, of the home;sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. John R. and Patricia Preusser of Niles, OH.,William (Joe) and Carol Preusser of Arlington, TX., Terry L. and CindyPreusser of Massillon; daughters and son-in-law, Diane L. and Sam Angott ofCanton, Linda S. Preusser of Canton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richardand Shirley Preusser of Canton, Tom and June Preusser of Key Largo, FL.;sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Bud Bowers of Uniontown, Rita andDutch Spore of Canton, Mary and Mark Gursky of Canton, JoAnn and John Catlin of Navarre; 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the Wackerly Funeral Home
with Dr. Harold Henniger officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery.
Calling hours Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour before the service Monday
in the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Aultman Hospice Founda-
tion or the Nehemiah Project of the Canton Baptist Temple.

Thelma L. Preusser, age 79, of Canton, passed away Tuesday evening inAultman Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Beaumont, TX, shewas the daughter of the late Leslie and Sally Greathouse. She was a memberof the Canton Baptist Temple and was an avid golfer. In addition to herparents she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Preusser, Sr.who died in 2002; twin sister, Velma Goodwin; sisters, Iola Carter and JimmyDell Crabtree. She is survived by her sons, Rev. John R. (Patricia) Preusserof Niles, OH, William "Joe" (Carol) Preusser of Arlington, TX, Terry L.(Cindy) Preusser of Massillon; daughters, Diane L. (Sam) Angott, of Canton,Linda S. Preusser of Canton; brother, John W. (Sue) Greathouse of Nederland,TX; brother-in-law, J. A. Goodwin of Beaumont, TX; sister, Sally (Charlie)Day of Canyon Lake, TX; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; severalnieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in theWackerly Funeral Home with Dr. Harold Henniger officiating. Burial will bein North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. andone hour before the service on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu offlowers donations may be made to the Nehemiah Project of the Canton BaptistTemple.
