ROMAN BURKHART SERVICES TUESDAY
Funeral services for Roman Burkhart, 43, of Lewisville Rt. 1 will be held at 1:30 o’clock Tuesday morning at the St. Joseph’s church in Burkhart. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Burkhart died suddenly Friday [17 Apr 1953]. The body is at the residence.

LEWISVILLE - Constantine Burkhart, 87, of 30821 Township 61, Lewisville, died
at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday (June 26, 2002) at the Woodsfield Nursing and Rehabilitation
Center in Woodsfield.
She was born Dec. 16, 1914, near Burkhart, Ohio, to Aloysius and Cecilia Schwallie
Burkhart. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church near Lewisville. She is survived
by two sisters, Sister Joanna Burkhart of Cincinnati and Mrs. Paul (Stella) Crum of Woods-
field; two brothers, Leander Burkhart and Cyril Burkhart and his wife, Rosemary, all of
Lewisville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roman J. Burkhart; her parents; and two
brothers, Lucian Burkhart and Herman J. Burkhart.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic
Church near Lewisville with the Rev. David Gaydosik as celebrant. Burial is in Chapel Hill
Cemetery near Lewisville. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at
Watters Funeral Home in Woodsfield. Vigil services are at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Simon Schwallie served in the Marines in World War II. He was a resident of Stark County at the time of his death.
