Notes

Richard J. Haren

In 1930, Richard Haren (38) owned a farm worth $2000 in Center Twp., Monroe County, Ohio. Living with him were his wife, Angie (39), and children Lucille (15), Ceyrel (13), Lela (9), Catherine (7), and Richard (5).

Louise J. Schwall

Marriage document lists ex locality prior to marriage as Woodsfield, Monroe, Ohio. Sources conflict on place of death. Researcher Betty Hartley states that Louise Schwall Haren died in Woodsfield, Monroe Co., OH. Her online Ohio death certificate states that she was a resident of Monroe County, but died out-of-state.

Michael Nicholas Burkhart Jr.

From the Zanesville Signal (page 3) 13 Apr 1938:
STUDENTS HONORED
WOODSFIELD -- Three Ohio State university students
from Monroe county have been honored during the past
winter quarter... Michael Burkhart, son of Mr. and Mrs. M.
N. Burkhart, of near Woodsfield, was promoted to sergeant
in the field artillery brigade.

Michael Nicholas Burkhart Sr.

Researcher Betty Hartley states that Michael Burkhart is the son of Thomas John Burkhardt and Anna Marie Zwick. However there is an 18 year discrepancy in the date of birth of that Michael (c. 1850) and the husband of Olivea (c. 1868). Given the age difference, it is unlikely that Michael Burkhart, husband of Olivia, is the same person as Michael Burkhart, son of Thomas.

Sources conflict on date of birth:
Abt. 1850 -- 1860 census -- son of Thomas and Mary Burkhart
Jan 1868 -- Hartley
abt 1868 -- 1910 census, obituary

In 1900, Michael Burkhardt and his wife Olivia M. lived in Center Twp., Noble County, Ohio. The couple had a child who died prior to the 1900 census.

In 1910, Michael N. Burkhard (42) still owned a farm in Center Twp. where he lived with his wife Olevia (30) and children Arthur A. (7), Edith O. (3), and Francis (2). This census indicates that Olivia had only given birth to three children, all of whom were alive in 1910.

Transcription of undated 50th wedding anniversary announcement was provided by researcher Charlie Burkhardt.
