Wilma Ruth Jeffers

Obituary (from Betty Hartley):
W. Ruth Haren, 75, 103 West Church Street, Woodsfield, died Tuesday in Ohio
Valley Medical Center, Wheeling. She was born August 6, 1913 in Monroe County, a
daughter of the late John E. and Jessie Norris Jeffers. She was a member of St. Paul
United Church of Christ, Woodsfield.
Surviving are her husband, Cyrel; three sisters, Mrs. Harry (Lee) Owens of Steubenville,
Nina Yoss of Woodsfield and Mrs. Okey (Edith) Griffith of Shelby; a brother, Dean Jeffers
of Columbus.
Friends will be received at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield, 2 to 9 P.M.
today, where services will be held at 1 P.M. Thursday, with the Rev. Richard Wright officiating.
Burial will be in Oakview Cemetery, Woodsfield.


Kathleen Lucetta Haren

Kathleen Haren Yoss provided much of the information on the Haren family to researcher Mark Haren.

Obituary:
Kathleen Haren Yoss, 76, 98 Orchard Lane, Woodsfield, died Tuesday, October 6,
1998 at Wheeling Hospital. She was born in Monroe County, June 25, 1922, a daughter
of the late Richard and Louise Schwall Haren.
She was the owner of the NAPA Auto Parts Stores in Woodsfield and Caldwell and
an active member of the St. Paul's United Church of Christ of Woodsfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Wilbur Yoss;
her second husband, Arol Edington; a sister, Lucille Yoss; two brothers, Cyrel Haren and
Richard J. Haren.
Surviving are two sons, Richard Yoss of Woodsfield and Gary Yoss of Caldwell; two
daughters, Karen Baker of Woodsfield and Sharon Yoss of Wilson Lake; a sister, Lela Hunnell
of Woodsfield; 12 grandchildren ; 11 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received today, 2 to 9 p.m. at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul
St., Woodsfield, where services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. Donald Rock
officiating. Burial follows in Oaklawn Cemetry, Woodsfield.

Richard J. Haren Jr.

Richard J. Haren, 73, 40400 Haren Road, Woodsfield, died Saturday, July 5, 1997
at Wheeling Hospital. He was born June 6, 1924 in Monroe County, son of the late
Richard Haren and Louise Schwall Haren. A retired saw mill owner and operator, he
was a veteran of World War II; a member of the VFWPost 5305 of Woodsfield, and St.
Paul's United Church of Christ, Woodsfield.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Cyrel Haren; a sister,
Lucille Yoss.
Surviving are his wife Mary Elizabeth Menkel Haren of Woodsfield; a son, James E.
Haren of Woodsfield; two daughters, Jo Anne Eddy of Woodsfield and Rosemary Grubbs
of Cambridge; two sisters, Kathlene Edington and Lela Hunnell, both of Woodsfield; seven
granchildren and two great grandchildren.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Bauer-Turner Funeral
Home, 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield, where services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with
Minister Harry Summers officiating.Burial follows in Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield.


Mary Elizabeth Menkel

Mary Elizabeth Haren, 76, Haren Road, Woodsfield, died Tuesday, November 21,
2000 at Wheeling Hospital. She was born in Monroe County, April 21, 1924, a daughter
of the late Clyde and Eloise Mann Menkel. She was a member of Woodsfield Presby
terian Church.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Richard J. Haren; a daughter, Rosemary
Grubbs and a son, James E. Haren.
She is survived by a daughter and son in law, Jo Palmer Eddy and Dale Eddy of Woods-
field, a brother, James R. Menkel of Woodsfield; seven granchildren, seven step grandchildren
and nine great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield, 5 to 9 p.m.
Thursday and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Friday, November 24, with the Rev.
Colleen Finlay officiating.Interment follows in Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield.
