Mercedes H. (Skeeter) Haren, age 87, passed away Sunday, June 6 at Rose LaneNursing Home. She was born August 15, 1916 in Woodsfield, Monroe County,Ohio. She was the daughter of the late, Julius H. and Clara T. (Biedenbach)Haren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Sue in 1973;sisters, Regina Wittenbrook, Alice Affolter and Ruth Tibe; and brothers,Roger and Dale Haren. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marshaand Mark Mitchell; granddaughter and husband, Richelle and Dennis Sanderson;and great grandchildren, Rachael, Devin, Drek and Dylan Sanderson, all ofNorth Canton; sisters, Mrs. Laura Lasick of Canton, Mrs. Margaret Hamad ofTallmadge, and Mrs. Deloris Neuman of North Canton; 27 nieces and nephewsand their families. She retired from the Hoover Company in 1977 with 36years of service, where she packed parachutes during World War II. Sheresided in Rose Lane after residing with her daughter and granddaughter from1996 to 2001. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. John'sthe Baptist Catholic Church on Thursday, June 10 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr.Ronald Klinger officiating and be buried next to her daughter, Brenda Sue atSt. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Canton. Friends may call at theKarlo & Sons Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Road NW, Canton on Wednesday, June9 from 6 to 9 p.m. Let me always remember the refreshing gift of a walk inthe woods, a day by the sea, a moment of solitude.

WOODSFIELD -- Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Burkhart and son, John Ross,
and Joseph Burkhart of Washington, DC, are spending their Easter vacation
with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John G. Burkhart.Ambrose Burkhart wrote an extensively detailed book about the Haren family but, it never was published due to his death. His Social Security number was issued in Colorado prior to 1951.

MARY BURKHART WEDS BERNARD FROELICH
WOODSFIELD - At a nuptial high mass performed Tuesday morning in St.
Sylvester’s church in Woodsfield, Miss Mary Dorothy Burkhart, only daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Burkhart, Sycamore street, Woodsfield, became the bride
of Bernard Froelich, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Froelich, Barnesville. Rev. J.
G. Mehler officiated.
The attendants were Miss Rose Virginia Yost, Akron, cousin of the bride,
and Joseph Burkhart, Washington, D.C., brother of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a wedding dinner was served at the Swissland Tea
room with covers being laid for 24 relatives and close friends of the couple.
Immediately following the dinner, Mr. and Mrs. Froelich left for a few days’
trip to points of interest in Ohio and upon their return will be at home to their
many friends in their newly furnished apartment on West Marietta street.
The bride is a graduate of the Woodsfield high school, being a member of the
class of ’36. Since her graduation, she has been employed as stenographer in the
office of the law form of Matz and Matz in Woodsfield.
Mr. Froelich graduated from the Barnesville high school with the class of ’37.
Her is employed in the Monroe County Beacon office in Woodsfield.
Mary Anna Froelich became a nun is known as Sr. Mary Ambrose at St. Sylvester's Parish in Woodsfield, Monroe, Ohio. As of 2007, she lived in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
Mark Froelich was ordained into the priesthood. Msgr. is the pastor of St. Joseph's Church in Lansing, Ohio.
