Bessie Barth

In 1920, 18 year old Bessie Barth lived with her parents in Fearing Twp., Washington Co., Ohio. She was employed as a laborer in a rubber shop.


Mary Elizabeth Haynes

The following wedding announcement appeared in the Zanesville (OH) Signal newspaper on Nov. 4, 1939: MARY E. HAYNES WEDS JOSEPH R. STRAHLER LOWELL -- Miss Mary Elizabeth Haynes, Church-
town, and Joseph Raymond Strahler, Lowell, were
married recently at St. John's catholic church, Church-
town. Mrs. Strahler is the daughter of the late Mrs. Maud
Arnold. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Rosa Strahler.

According to the online Ohio death certificate index at www.ancestry.com, Mary Haynes Strahler was a resident of Washington County, Ohio who died in an out-of-state hospital. She was a widow at the time of her death.


Mary Louise Engle

The following wedding announcement appeared in The Zanesville (OH) signal newspaper on Feb 1, 1946: LOWELL -- Miss Mary Louise Engle and Alfred Strahler
were married Tuesday morning at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic
church. Rev. father Joseph Pickard officiated at the nuptial
high mass. Mrs. Strahler wore a white wedding gown. Her
maid of honor was her sister, Patricia Engle. The best man
was John Engle the brother of the bride. Mrs. Strahler is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Engle. she is a graduate of
Lowell high school. Mr. Strahler is the son of Mrs. Andrew
Strahler, Lowell. He had been in military until recently. A
reception was held at the home of the bride's father and
mother with a wedding dance in the evening. The young
couple will make their home near Lowell.


Jane Ann Strahler

The following birth announcement appeared in The (Zanesville (OH) Signal newspaper on Dec 10, 1946: LOWELL -- Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Strahler are parents of
a daughter, born Monday morning, in memorial hospital,
Marietta. grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Roy Engle; and
Mrs. Rosa Strahler, all of Lowell. Mrs. Anna Dyar of Beverly
is the great-grandmother.
