John E. Breiding

At the time of the 1900 census, John (34) Breiding and his wife Ann (32) rented a home at 1816 Wood in Wheeling, West Virginia. Living with them were their children Lawrence (8), Hilda (6) and Irene (3) Lawrence and Hilda attended school.

In 1930, John (64) and Anna (61) Breiding owned a home worth $10000 at 140 18th Street, Wheeling, West Virginia. Living with them was their son, Russell (20). John and Anna's parents were born in Germany. John worked hauling for an express company. The Breidings owned a radio set. A portion of their home was rented to Roy Bolen and his daughter, Mary.


Annie Hohman

Annie Hohman Breiding gave birth to one child who died before 1900.


Casper Breiding

In 1900, Casper (71) and Mary (68) Breiding owned a home at 1822 Wood, in Wheeling, West Virginia. Although the 1900 census is supposed to indicate year of immigration to the United States, that column is blank for Casper and Mary. (It was filled out for other immigrants on the same page.) Casper's occupation was "retired landlord." Casper's son John and his family lived next door.


Mary Muth

Mary Breiding gave borth to eight children, seven of whom were still living in 1900.

Given name also shown as Johannes. Alternate spellings of surname are Rudi or Rudo. Jean Roudot is the spelling found on LDS film # 777187. Jean was an Innkeeper.


Maria Anna Ziegler

Information found on LDS film # 777187 from Obersteinbach, Alsace, Bas-Rhin, France. Spelling of Alternate spelling of surname Ziegler is Zeigler.

Death document found on LDS film # 777194 listing age at death as 74 yrs. 1 mo. and 8 days. Document written in German. Death date shown as 3 Nivose VIII (24 December 1799). She died in the home of her son-in-law Peter Haren.
