Martha Jane Strahler

The following birth announcement appeared in The Zanesville (OH) Signal on November 12, 1946: LOWELL -- Mr. and Mrs. Dale Strahler are parents of a daughter born in Memorial hospital Marietta. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. William Strahler of near Lowell and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Schaad of near Churchtown.


Dean G. Strahler

The following birth announcement appeared in The Zanesville (OH) Signal newspaper on August 20, 1954: LOWELL -- Mr. and Mrs. Dale Strahler are parents of a son born Saturday, August 14 in Marietta Memorial hospital. Mr. and Mrs. William Strahler, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Schaad all of near Lowell are the grandparents. W. O. Davis of Lowell is the great-grandfather.


William F. Strahler

In 1930, Wm. F. Strahler (38) owned a farm worth $700 in Adams Twp., Washington Co., OH. Living with him were his wife, Anna M. (31), and children Anna M. (12) and Dale G. (8), and a 19 year old lodger/hired man named Louis E. Fox. Everyone in the house was a native of Ohio.

MRS. WM. STRAHLER Mrs. Anna Strahler, 59, died of a heart ailment at her home near Lowell Thursday afternoon at 5:30 o’clock. The daughter of the late Wiley and Mary Tullius Davis, she was born in Lowell May 14, 1898 and spent all of her life in that vicinity. In 1917 she married William Strahler of Waterford Rt. 2. She was a member of Ohio Lady of Mercy Catholic church at Lowell. Surviving are her husband, two sons, Dale of Lowell and Jerry of the home one daughter, Mrs. Anna Spindler of Lowell, 10 grandchildren, two sister. Mrs. Mildred Kuehn of Marietta and Mrs. Alfred J. Walter of 727 Luck avenue; a half-brother, Charley Brown of Lowell and an aunt, Mrs. Charles Jones of Wabash avenue. The body was removed to the McCurdy funeral home at Lowell.


Andrew Henry Schaad

In 1920, 31 year old farmer Andrew H. Schott lived with his wife Mary Elizabeth (23) and their 4 month old son Howard L. on a farm owned by Andrew's father Joseph and mother Elizabeth in Watertown, Washington Co., Ohio.

In 1930, 41 year old farmer Andrew Schaad lived with his wife Mary (35) on a farm they owned in Watertown Twp., Washington Co., Ohio. Based on census information, they had been married for 11 years. Living with them were their children Howard (10), Eunice (6), Ruth (4) and Regis (2). Howard and Eunice attended school. All members of the household as well as Andrew's father and Mary's parents were born in Ohio, Andrew's mother was born in Pennsylvania. The family owned a radio.

Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Schaad and daughters Eunice, Ruth and Regia and sons Howards and Robert of Churchtown attended the annual Schott reunion on Sunday, July 30, 1933 at the fairgrounds in Marietta, Ohio. See notes of Jacob Schott for a complete list of attendees.

The following article appeared in The Times Recorder (Zanesville, OH) newspaper on July 31, 1940: SCHOTT REUNION The ninth annual reunion of the Schott families, held at
Caldwell fairgrounds Sunday was attended by approximately
150. A basket dinner was served at noon. Officers elected included Andrew Schaad, president, and
Henry M. Schaad, secretary-treasurer. The 1941 reunion will
be held at Camp Civitan, Marietta.

According to the online Ohio death certificate index, Andrew Schaad was married at the time of his death.
