Margaret J. Wolfe

In 1930, 23 year old divorced Margaret Wymer lived in the home of her brother Edward Wolfe at 231 Spark St., Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio with her son, Richard (7). Margaret woirked as a machine hand for a tile manufacturer.


Raymond F. Noll

A note on page 10 of The Zanesville Times Recorder on 11 Sep 1946 stated:
Raymond Noll, 824 Prospect Avenue left Sunday for Dayton to
enter his freshman year at the Dayton university where he will major
in chemical engineering. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Noll of
824 Prospect avenue and was graduated from St. Nicholas high
school in June.

Announcement of the wedding of Raymond Noll and Norma Ann Pucci was published in the Zanesville Times Recorder on 26 Jun 1960. A full-length photograph of the bride accompanied the article:
A BRIDE OF EARLY JUNE
The St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Canton was the setting for the
June 4 wedding of Miss Norma Ann Pucci and Raymond F. Noll.
The Rt. Rev. Msgr. George Habig officiated at the double ring cere-
mony.
Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Nickolas Pucci of
Canton and Mrs. Alphonsus N. Noll of 824 Prospect avenue and the
late Mr. Noll. The new Mrs. Noll graduated from Central Catholic
High School in Canton and is employed as a secretary by Preformed
Line Products Company in Cleveland. Mr. Noll, a graduate of St.
Nicholas High School and Ohio State University, is a development
engineer for the B.F. Goodrich Chemical Company in Avon Lake, O.


A photograph of Raymond Noll accompanied the following note in the Elyria Ohio Chronicle Telegram on 7 Oct 1967:
Raymond F. Noll has been named development scientist at B. F.
Goodrich Chemical Co.’s development center in Avon Lake. Noll
joined BFG Chemical in 1952 as a junior technical man. He was
promoted to engineer in 1954 and worked on the Darvan fiber project.
Since 1961 Noll has been assigned to the liquid rubber program.
He is a 1952 graduate of Ohio State University with a BS degree in
chemical engineering. Noll lives at 23307 Stoneybrook Dr., North
Olmsted.


Robert John Noll

The following article appeared on page 8 of The Zanesville Times Recorder on 29 Jun 1953:

ROBERT J. NOLL AT FORT SILL
Robert J. Noll, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alphonsus N. Noll, 824 Prospect
avenue, has started a period of intensive field training in artillery science
and tactics at Fort Sill as part of the army reserve officers' training corps
advanced course in military science which he is taking at Ohio State
University.
He is participating in a six-weeks artillery summer camp along with
approximately 2400 other army ROTC cadets from 38 states, Hawaii,
Mexico, the Philippines, Puerto Rice and Canal Zone, representing 86
colleges and universities.
During the camp, cadets will live in comfortable barracks, eat army
chow, and answer bugle calls for various activities of the day beginning
at 5 a.m. Training will include overnight bivouacs, field exercises and
actual "shooting" of the big artillery pieces.

On 30 Jan 1954, the same paper reported:
ROBERT JOHN NOLL GETS "A" GRADES
Robert John Noll, son of Mr. and Mrs. A.N. Noll of 824 Prospect Avenue
received all "A" grades in the autumn quarter at Ohio State University, Colum-
bus. He is a commerce student majoring in accounting. He was married
during the summer to Margaret Rogers of Columbus and they are now
making their home at 496 1/2 Ryan avenue in that city.


From the “Chit-Chat” column of Zanesville Signal on 27 Dec 1957:
Miss Bonita Noll and her brother, Raymond Noll, both of
Cleveland are spending the week visiting their mother, Mrs.
A. N. Noll of 824 Prospect avenue. Last week end they visited
their brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Noll and
children, Kathy, Michael and James Edward of Fort Wayne, Ind.


Robert Noll's obituary appeared in the Zanesville Times Recorder on 22 Nov 2006:
LOUISVILLE -Robert John Noll, 74, of Louisville [KY], passed away Sunday,
Nov. 19, 2006, at Baptist Hospital East.
He was born in Zanesville to the late Alphonsus and Elizabeth Crum Noll.
He was a retired financial manager for General Electric with more than 35
years of service. After retiring he was chairman of the board of the Audio
Studio for the Reading Impaired, Inc. He was also a member of the Mother
of Good Counsel Catholic Church, an Army veteran in charge of the Nike
missile battery at Pittsburgh and a Kentucky Colonel.
Surviving are three sons, Mike (Tricia), James (Erin) of New York, N.Y.,
and Chris (Brenda) Noll of Florence, Ky.; two daughters, Cathy Hanks (Don)
of Winfield, W.Va., and Carol Schnell (Tony) of Louisville; sister Bonnie Noll
of Columbus; and 14 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Margaret Rodgers Noll,
who passed away Nov. 16, 1995.
Calling hours will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, Nov. 22, at the Ratterman
Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at
10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 24, 2006, at Mother of Good Counsel, 8509 Westport
Road with burial in Calvary Cemetery.

Don Haven Thomas

Obituary from www.mcvay-perkins.com:
Don H. Thomas, age 65, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Monday
afternoon (12/23/2002) at Akron General Medical Center in Akron,
Ohio. He was born 12/13/1937 in Cambridge, Ohio a son of the late
Donald F. & Mary H. Renner Thomas. He was a 1957 graduate of
Caldwell High School and had served in the Ohio National Guard.
Don retired in 1990 as a deputy with the Noble County Sheriff's
Department. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in
Caldwell, The Noble County Historical Society and the Buckeye
State Sheriffs Association. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his
wife Joan C. Miller Thomas on January 14, 2002 and a brother
Richard Thomas. Surviving are a daughter Pamela S. (Mark) Woods of Hanau,
Germany; 1 brother David (Peggy) Thomas of Caldwell; 2 grand-
dauhters Jessica & Michele Woods of Hanau, Germany; special
mother-in-law Gladys Miller of Caldwell; special friends Sandra
Melton of Byesville, Jeffrey Melton of Canton; numerous nieces and
nephews. Friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 PM at McVay-Perkins
Funeral Home in Caldwell. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
on Saturday at 10 AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell with
Fr. Dale Tornes as celebrant. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery in
Caldwell. The family requests memorials be made to the Noble County
Historical Society.


Barbara Morrison

Barbara Morrison Broffman
RENO - Barbara Morrison Broffman, 52, of Reno, passed
away Saturday (April 16, 2005) in Columbus, following her
battle with Leukemia.
She was born on March 6, 1953, in Marietta, to Harley and
Clara Archer Morrison. Barbara is a 1970 graduate of Marietta
High School and a 1975 graduate of Marietta College and then
began her teaching career at Frontier High School, where she
taught for 28 years. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's
Catholic Church. Barbara was also a member of the Frontier
Local Education Association and the American Legion Post 64,
Ladies Auxiliary. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother,
daughter, sister, teacher and best friend. She has touched many
lives. Barbara was always known for her charitable heart. She
was a teacher both in and out of the classroom. In life and through
her death she taught us that the most important things cannot be
bought with money or a credit card. She would not want us to
mourn her death but celebrate her life.
She is survived by her mother of Marietta; her husband,
Kenneth Broffman; three children, Christy Fogel (Lee) of Cin-
cinnati, Jon Broffman (Sarah) of Middletown, N.Y., and Jeffrey
Broffman of Columbus; two grandchildren, Andrew and Max-
well Fogel; two sisters, Karen Neighbor (Terry) of Dayton, and
Brenda Christy (Ted) of Cincinnati; three brothers, Dean Morrison
(Norma) of Lakeville, Minn., Kenneth Morrison (Theresa) of
Marietta and Terry Morrison (Lina) of Seattle, Wash.; and several
nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father,
and her brother, Ronald Morrison.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wed-
nesday (April 20) at St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev.
Monsignor John Michael Campbell, the Rev. Timothy Huffman,
and the Rev. Mark Moore co-celebrating. Visitation will be from
6 to 8 p.m. today and any time Tuesday at the Marietta Chapel of
Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home. The family will be present from
2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. A vigil service will be held at 3 p.m.
on Tuesday at the funeral home.
