Bertha Kuhn grew up living next door to Magnus Hohman, uncle of her husband, Herman Hohman.


Vincent Paul Dimmerling

Obituary:
Vincent (Vinnie) P. Dimmerling, age 65, of Salem, Missouri, passed away Feb. 15 [1984]
after being admitted to Phelps County Memorial Hospital in Rolla, Missouri following a brief
illness.
He was born September 1, 1918 in Louisville, Ohio and lived here until his induction into
the military service during WWII where he served his country in the 75th Artillery Infantry
Division of the U.S. Army, earning three Bronze Stars for his participation in major battles
in the European theater of the war. He was a former employee of the Carter Carburetor Co.
of St. Louis, Missouri, retiring in 1978 after 33 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Molly (Rupple) Dimmerling. Survivors
include his wife, Olive, of the home, sons, James of Marietta, George and John of Milford,
Conn.; two grandchildren; sisters Vera Hartman, Venola Meek, Velma McKimm, Virginia
Mustacchio and Vivian Metzger, all of Louisville, and brother, Virgil Dimmerling of Minerva.
A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted on Friday, Feb. 17 at Sacred Heart Church in
Salem, Missouri with Father Chambers officiating. Funeral arrangements were directed by
the Spencer Funeral Home of Salem, Missouri and burial at the Cedar Grove Cemetery in
Salem, Missouri.

According to the Social Security Death Index, Vincent Dimmerling's last residence was Marietta, Cobb County, Georgia. His last benefit was sent to Salem, Dent County, Missouri, where he was buried.
