Arthur Oscar Bishop

Obituary:
Arthur O. Bishop, age 53 of 10418 Beeson St. NE, Alliance, was dead on arrival at Alliance City Hospital Tuesday Nov. 22 [1983] following a sudden illness.
Born in Stark County, Aug. 9, 1930 to the late Oscar Bishop and Mrs. Marie (Reiner) Bishop of Louisville, he had worked for the Transue & Williams Div. of Alliance for 27 years as an inspector supervisor. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church of Harrisburg and the SAS Pigeon Racing Club.
He is survived by his wife, Doris (Monter) of the home, his mother; two daughters, Mrs. Bruce (Shirley) Krumlauf of East Canton, and Debbie of the home; six sons, Michael of Akron, Mark and Patrick, both of Alliance, Steven of the U.S. Army, Germany, Timothy of the home and Gary of Florida; three brothers, Donald Bishop of North Canton, James and Henry Bishop both of Louisville, 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Bishop in 1960 and a brother, Bernard in 1953.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday in Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Friends called at the Paquelet Funeral Home Friday.


Francis J. Bishop

Obituary:
Francis J. Bishop, age 77, of Louisville, was dead on arrival
at Timken Mercy Medical Center Friday morning, Nov. 29 [1991].
Born in Louisville, June 10, 1914 to the late John and Julie Bishop, he
was a retired owner of Bishop’s Lawn and Garden. He was a member
of the Paradise United Church of Christ, Louisville, Louisville Rotary
Club, a volunteer with the Louisville Fire Dept. for 27 years, a 56 year
member of the Nimishillen Grange, member of the Stumptown Steamers
and Thrashers Association in New Athens, OH. He furnished music
and sound for numerous Louisville community activities.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Roman, and is survived
by his wife Jane (Shoemaker) Bishop; a sister, Mrs. Francis (Mary)
Schwallie of Canton. Services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 2
in the Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville with Rev. Joseph Krabill
officiating. Friends called Sunday in the funeral home. Interment was in
Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the
Hospice of Stark County or the Paradise United Church of Christ in
Louisville. Grange held services Sunday in the funeral home.
