Frederick M. Grommes

Obituary:

Fredrick M. Grommes Formerly of North Braddock Fredrick M. Grommes, on Tuesday, April 23, 2002, a World War II Army vet- eran and retired pipefitter from Westinghouse, East Pittsburgh. Husband of Dolores Estadt Grommes; father of Ronald F. and his wife Virginia L. Grommes; brother of Sr. Mary Rosalia M.S.B.T. and Elizabeth and her husband George Price. Also survived by one granddaughter, Amy V. Grommes. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Ronald V. Lucas Funeral Home, corner of Bell and Jones avenues, North Braddock, 412-271-1361. Funeral Mass Friday at Sacred Heart Church at 1:30 p.m.

John Matzik Jr.

Obituary:

John Matzik Jr., 82, of Trafford, died Friday, Feb. 13, 1998, at home. He was born March 28, 1915, in Glenwhite, Pa., the son of the late John Sr. and Anna Mishock Matzik. He was a member of St. Regis Church. Prior to retirement, he was employed as a machinist with Westinghouse, East Pittsburgh. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II. He is survived by his loving wife, Dolores L. Grabosky Matzik; three daughters, Elaine Estadt of Concord, Ohio, Deborah Kapuscinski of Penn Township, and Cheryl Carney of Elizabeth Township; a son, Timothy Matzik of Trafford; and five grandchildren, Clinton and Amber Estadt, Christopher and Gregory Kapuscinski, and Alan John Carney. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the David A. Ritter Funeral Home, 220 Edgewood Ave., Trafford. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Regis Church with Father James D. Tringhese as celebrant. Interment will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville.
