John Matzik Jr., 82, of Trafford, died Friday, Feb. 13, 1998, at home. Hewas born March 28, 1915, in Glenwhite, Pa., the son of the late John Sr. andAnna Mishock Matzik. He was a member of St. Regis Church. Prior toretirement, he was employed as a machinist with Westinghouse, EastPittsburgh. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during WorldWar II. He is survived by his loving wife, Dolores L. Grabosky Matzik; threedaughters, Elaine Estadt of Concord, Ohio, Deborah Kapuscinski of PennTownship, and Cheryl Carney of Elizabeth Township; a son, Timothy Matzik ofTrafford; and five grandchildren, Clinton and Amber Estadt, Christopher andGregory Kapuscinski, and Alan John Carney. Friends will be received from 7to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the David A.Ritter Funeral Home, 220 Edgewood Ave., Trafford. A Funeral Mass will becelebrated Monday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Regis Church with Father James D.Tringhese as celebrant. Interment will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery,Monroeville.
