Marvin U. Kramer, age 84, of Canton, passed away Monday, December 4, 2006, in the residence after a brief illness.
A lifetime resident of Canton and a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Navy. A retired carpenter, he was self-employed for many years. A member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Christian Family Members of the church, Boy Scout Troup 39 and Order of the Arrow.
Preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Michael and Joseph Paul Kramer; parents, Albert and Clara (Zwick) Kramer; son-in-law, Ronald Hilton. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret Kramer; three sons, Mark (Elaine) Kramer of Woodbridge, VA, Michael Kramer of Canton; John (Deborah) Kramer of Canton; three daughters, Judith Hilton of Canton, Rebecca (Terry) Traugh of Canton, Deirdre Molnar of Columbus; eight grandsons; ten granddaughters; seven great grandsons; one great granddaughter; three sisters, DeLoris Diamond of Canton, Rita Brawley of Canton, Donna Theiss of Louisville; three brothers, Ronald (Clara) Kramer of Charlotte, NC, Dale (Mary) Kramer of Ft. Meyers, FL, Danny (Marilyn) Kramer of Louisville; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday 11 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Rev. William Kraynak. Burial at Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at the Welch-Sekeres-Lewis Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church or Central Catholic High School

According to the Ohio online death certificate index, Thomas Kramer was employed in shipping and receiving in the manufacturing industry. He was a married resident of Stark County at the time of his death.


Kenneth L. Meek

Obituary:
Kenneth L. Meek, 132 Indiana Ave., Louisville, was pronounced dead on arrival
at Aultman Hospital Sunday [22 Oct 1978] following a sudden illness.
Born in Newcomerstown, he lived in the Louisville area for 40 years. He retired in
1968 from the Republic Steel Co., where he worked for 25 years. He is survived by his
wife, Venola (Dimmerling) of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Shirley) Dowling of
Glendora, Calif.; step-son Roland Berger of Canton; father-in-law Felix Dimmerling of
Louisville, 3 sisters, Mrs. Lucille Jogerst of East Canton, Mrs. Virginia Pettay of Freeport,
and Mrs. Doris Aldergate of Newcomerstown; and 7 grandchildren.
Private services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Paquelet Funeral Home with burial
in the St. Louis Cemetery. There were no calling hours.

The fact that Kenneth Meek has a step-son with a different surname suggests that Venola may have had a previous marriage. Since it is not clear what children belong to which parent, no children have been entered for this marriage.

Michael E. McKimm

Obituary:
Michael E. McKimm, age 25, of 7640 Easton Ave. NE Louisville passed away Tuesday evening July 27 [1976], at Timken Mercy Medical Center following a sudden illness. Born in Louisville March 1, 1951 to Gene and Velma Dimmerling McKimm of the home, he lived here all his life.
A botany student at Kent State University in Kent, he was within 2 months of graduation. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and a 1969 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School.
Besides his parents, he is survived by 2 sisters, Hali McKimm of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. And Rebecca McKimm of San Diego, Calif.; two brothers, Terry McKimm of Louisville and Tom McKimm of the home; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence McKimm of Louisville, and Felix Dimmerling of Louisville.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends called one hour before the services. Paquelet Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.


Samuel L. Mustacchio

Obituary:
Samuel L. Mustacchio, age 64, of Louisville, died Friday June 10 [1988] after an extended illness. Born in Weston, WV, he had lived most of his life in Louisville. HE was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and served for a number of years a s a patrolman and Police Chief for the Louisville Police Dept. In 1951 he worked a s a Deputy Sheriff for the Stark County Sheriff’s Dept., transferring in 1964 to the Ohio Dept. of Transportation, and retiring in 1982. He was a past commander and a member of Louisville American Legion Post 548, member of VFW Post 548, Louisville FOE Council 2374 and served as a volunteer for the Mental Retardation Workshop and Big Brothers and Sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia (Dimmerling) to whom he was married for 34 years; three sisters, Teresa Ray of Alliance, Cecelia Mohler of Canton and Mrs. Sam (Anita) Meese of Louisville; four brothers, Robert of Hollywood, FL., Joseph of Taipei, Taiwan, John of Columbus, GA, and James of Minerva; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Annastashia (Campbell) Mustacchio.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. There were no calling hours. Friends were asked to meet with the family at the American Legion Hall after the Church and Committal Services. If desired, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN 38148.

Paul M. Metzger

Obituary:

Paul M. Butch Metzger, age 71, of Louisville, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Monday, February 26, 2001 in Aultman Hospital following a courageous two and half year battle with cancer. Butch was born October 4, 1929 in Louisville to the late Louis and Iva (Summer) Metzger. He was a 1948 graduate of Louisville High School and attended Ohio State University. Butch played minor league baseball for the Cleveland Indians and Class A baseball for Old Dutch where he won the batting title. He played basketball for the Lee Stockton Collegians and was inducted into the Greater Canton Amateur Sports Hall of Fame for baseball and basketball. Butch was the owner of Louisville Driver-Thur and Westwood Wine Shoppe for 35 years. He was an avid golfer and a former member of the Alliance Country Club. Butch was an Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #548, F.O.E. Louisville Aerie #2374, Knights of Columbus, Canton Moose Lodge and North Canton Elks #2029.
Butch leaves behind his wife, Vivian (Dimmerling) Metzger with whom he would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on May 12th; two sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Debbie Metzger and Jeff and Beth Ann Metzger, all of North Canton; three sisters, Marguerite Rannigan of Canton and Betty Rhoads and Catherine Stegner, both of Louisville; a brother, Louis Metzger of Louisville; five grandchildren, Christopher, Stephanie, Sterling, AnaLeigh and Cayla Marie Metzger all of North Canton. He is preceded in death by two infant sisters and three brothers, Leo, Donald and Robert Metzger.
Private funeral services for Butch will be conducted Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home with Fr. Tom Bishop officiating. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Butch will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His memory and his legacy will not soon be forgotten. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Joseph Care Center in Louisville.
