"Find any word" will find all pages that contain either the word "Joseph" or the word "Crum."
"Find all words" will find all pages that contain both "Joseph" and "Crum," although they might not be together. (For example, "Joseph Smith married Maggie Crum." would qualify.)
"Find exact phrase" will find all pages that contain the exact phrase "Joseph Crum." However, it will not find "Joseph B. Crum."

Do let Gordon know if there's something you don't understand, or if you have any comments.
PLEASE NOTE: The search page does not function properly due to the size of the database. (It currently contains over 62,000 names.) PicoSearch generously provides free search capabilities for websites up to a certain size. Once that size is reached, there is a substantial fee. The search engine only searches the first 36,000 names.
