Frank and Magdelena (Hartman) Singer
Frank Singer was the youngest son of Jacob Singer and Magdelena Zwick Singer. Frank was a difficult, surly man who had trouble holding a job. He was very fond of Schnapps. Frank and Lena Singer moved from Fulda to Allegheny County, PA around 1891. Magdelena Hartman Singer (1862-1938) was the daughter of Adam Hartman and Mary Brahler Hartman. Lena is remembered as a a much-loved, good, kind woman who severed as the anchor for her extended family. She often hosted large family gatherings at which she served her signature dish of chicken and noodles. Lena was a midwife both in Noble County, OH and later in North Braddock. PA.
