Mrs. James McCort of Dresden Route 1, have been named
Scott Michael and Kimberly Kay. Maternal grandparents
are Mr. and Mrs. Clements Dimmerling of Summerfield and
paternal grandmother is Mrs. Magdalen McCort of Barnseville.

Donald C. Dimmerling

Mr. and Mrs. Clemence Dimmerling of Zanesville announce the birth of twins,
a son and daughter, Wednesday [20 Feb 1940]. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Dimmerling, of
Carlisle, and Mr. and Mrs. Bede Hill, Fulda, are the grandparents.


Obituary:
Donald C. "Don" Dimmerling, 63, of Lewisville Road, Woodsfield, Ohio, died
April 21, 2003 at the Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, W. Va., after a hard
battle with cancer. He was born Feb. 20, 1940 in Zanesville, Ohio, the son of
Marie Hill Dimmerling of Caldwell, Ohio and the late C. L. "Tip" Dimmerling.
He was a retired lineman from Ameritech and a U.S. Army Veteran serving
during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the Woodsfield Loyal Order of Moose
Lodge 2247 and the Woodsfield Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Deanna C. Clark Dimmerling,
whom he married on April 24, 1965; two sons and daughters-in-law: Darren and
his wife Kathy, Drew and his wife Patty, all of Woodsfield; two brothers, Richard
and his wife Leanna of Sarahsville, Ohio; Charles and his wife Kathy of Lewisville,
Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Don (Rose Marie) Schockling of Caldwell, Ohio, Mrs.
Robert (Patricia) Gaydosik of Summerfield, Ohio; twin sister, Mrs. Donna Jean
Hill of Kennonsburg, Ohio and Mrs. James (Margaret Mary) McCort of Logan,
Ohio. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Brett, Tye, Brittany and Katelyn Dimmerling; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts and
uncles also survive him.
In addition to his father, Don was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents,
Leo and Mary Dimmerling, maternal grandparents Bede and Rose Hill and a brother-
in-law Dale Hill.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, St. Rt. 78, West, Woodsfield,
Wednesday, April 23, from 2 to 9 p.m. where services will be held Thursday, April 24,
at 11 a.m. with the Father David Gaydosik officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn
Cemetery, Woodsfield. Vigil service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral
home.


Dorothy M. Holmes

Obituary:
Dorothy M. Warner, age 90, of Alliance, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2004, in Canterbury Villa of Alliance following an extended illness. Dorothy was born August 31, 1913, in Lansing, MI, to the late William and Cecil Holmes. She was a member of the Loyal Neighbors Club and the 500 Club. She enjoyed sports and was an avid fisherman. Dorothy was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Harrisburg where she had been a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 27 years, Russell Warner who she married in 1977; two sons, George (Margaret) Wahl of Tennessee and Michael (Cathy) Wahl of Florida; a step-daughter, Janet Shumaker of Alliance; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband, George Wahl; and two sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 12:30 p.m. in Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Harrisburg with Rev. Fr. William Kraynak officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Dorothy's family will receive friends Saturday 10:30-12 p.m. at the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville.
