Anniversary announcement:
ANNIVERSARY OBSERVANCE WEDNESDAY
Dr. and Mrs. Michael Clouse of Somerset observed their 25th wedding anniversary
on Wednesday [17 Jul 1968]. Mrs. Clouse is the former Agnes Noll, daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Noll. Dr. Clouse is the son of Mrs. Michael Clouse and the
late Dr. Michael Clouse. They were married in Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Somerset
by Rev. Raphael Clouse, cousin of Dr. Clouse.
To celebrate the anniversary, the couple’s children, Mike Patricia, Steve, Terri, Jim,
Mary, and Amy, entertained at dinner Wednesday evening in Columbus.
Dr. Clouse has been a physician in the Somerset area for more than 20 years.

HOLE-IN-ONE MADE AT PERRY
NEW LEXINGTON - One of the earliest holes-in-one ever recorded at Perry Golf Course was that made by Steve Clouse of Somerset yesterday when he canned his 7-iron shot on the 144-yard N. 9 hole.
He made the ace while shooting a 36 during a qualifying round for the St. Aloysius High team. Playing with him were Jack Flautt of Somerset and Larry Saffell of New Lexington, according to Pro Carl Holden.

Obituary:
HURT AT SCHOOL; NEWARK BOY DIES
Donald P. Hillis, 11-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy C. Hillis of Newark, former Perry county resident, died last night at Newark City hospital from injuries sustained while playing Thursday afternoon at school. Death was caused by a skull fracture.
Young Hillis, a sixth-grade pupil at St. Francis De Sales school, was playing basketball in the school yard with a number of companions when he tripped and fell, striking his head.
Surviving are his parents; three sisters, Peggy Lou, Norma Jean, and Ruth Ann, all of the home, the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Noll of Somerset, and Mrs. Eva Hillis of Columbus. A number of cousins reside in this city. The body is at Egan funeral home at Newark.
Funeral services will be held at 10 o’clock Monday morning at St. Francis De Sales Catholic church. Burial will be in Newark.

According to his death certificate, an operation revealed that Donald had an epidural hematoma following a fall that occurred on 17 Feb. He died the next day.
