MISS HOHMAN REVEALS HER NUPTIAL PLANS
Miss Barbara Joan Hohman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clement Hohman
of 765 Leonard avenue has completed plans for her wedding to Leslie Earl
Fitch that will take place at 9 o’clock Saturday morning [18 Aug 1956]. The
open church ceremony will be solemnized before the altar of St. Thomas
Catholic church where the bride-elect is a member. After the double ring
vows are exchanged, the Reverend Father S. A. Rissetti will celebrate the
nuptial high mass.
Bridal Procession
Members of the bridal part will be Miss Adelene Weiser, maid of honor,
Miss Rosemary Hohman, sister of the bride, and Miss Ruth Arnold, brides-
maids. Best man will be Alfred Jennings. Among the ushers will be the bride-
to-be’s brother, Raymond Hohman. Mr. Hohman will escort his daughter
down the aisle.
Plan Breakfast, Reception
After the mass the bridal party and immediate families will attend a break-
fast in the Colonial room of Nicol’s restaurant. In the afternoon the Hohman’s
will be host to a reception in the club room of the YWCA.
Pre-Nuptial Shower
Last Thursday evening Miss Hohman was complimented at a miscellaneous
shower given by Miss Weiser at the home of her sister, Mrs. Donald Eppley
of Military road.
The August bride is employed in the office of Mosaic Tile company. Both
she and Mr. Fitch are graduates of Rosecrans high school. The prospective
bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Fitch of South Zanesville. He is
employed by Kroger’s supermarket and is a member of the St. Nicholas Catholic
parish.
The Fitch-Hohman engagement was announced on July 15.

TO LIVE HERE AFTER RECITING NUPTIAL VOWS
The new Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Earl Fitch will make their home at 320 Luck
avenue when they return from a brief wedding trip at Lake Hope in Zaleski
State Park. The bride is the former Barbara Joan Hohman and her wedding
was an event of Saturday morning in St. Thomas Catholic Church. She is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clement Hohman of 765 Leonard avenue. Parents
of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Fitch of South Zanesville.
Observe Open Church
The Reverend Father S. A. Rissetti officiated at the open church, double
ring ceremony and nuptial mass. Afterwards there was a breakfast for the bridal
party and immediate families at Nicol’s restaurant. In the afternoon, the bride's
parents gave a reception in the club room of the YWCA.
Gown is Floor Length
For her morning vows, the bride selected a floor length gown of Chantilly lace
and tulle over taffeta complemented with a Juliet cap which held her veil of
illusion in place. She carried a bouquet of white blossoms. The bodice of the
bridal gown was designed with round neckline and long sleeves that extended to
points over the hands. The lace bodice extended into deep points as it joined the
bouffant tulle skirt.
The bridal attendants selected duplicate models for their ensembles. Miss
Adelene Weiser was maid of honor while the bride’s sister, Miss Rosemary
Hohman, and Miss Ruth Arnold were bridesmaids. They wore picture hats
and carried colonial bouquets of flowers. The honor attendant selected an autumn
hue in yellow while the bride’s sister wore pink and Miss Arnold green.
Nuptial Setting.
The wedding party stood before a setting of pink and green. The altar vases
were filled with pink carnations and pompoms and palm flanked the altar railing.
Alfred Jennings was the best man. Raymond Hohman, brother of the bride,
ushered and Mr. Hohman walked down the bridal path with his daughter.
When the newly marrieds left for their bridal trip, Mrs. Fitch traveled in a
white princess style dress with red accessories.
The former Miss Hohman is employed in the office of Mosaic Tile company.
Both whe and Mr. Fitch are graduates of Rosecrans high school. The bride is a
member of the church in which she was married and the bridegroom is a member
of St. Nicholas parish. He is employed by Kroger’s supermarket.

At the time of her divorce from Leslie Fitch in 1969, Barbara lived at 1613 W. Ball Rd. in Anaheim, CA. Leslie Fitch lived at 706 Echo Ave., Zanesville, OH.

Karen Ann Dimmerling

Birth announcement from The Zanesville Signal:
CALDWELL -- Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dimmerling announce
the birth of a daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Dimmerling, Mr.
and Mrs. Alex Noll, of Harriettsville are the grandparents.
George Crum is a great-grandfather.

It has not been proven that the daughter born in May 1939 is Karen; it could be another daughter of Walter Dimmerling.
