Emma C. Burkhart

Obituary (from Betty Hartley):
Emma C. Doudna,86, of 410 S. Broadway St., Barnesville, died Thursday
in Barnesville Hospital. She was born December 5, 1900 at Temperanceville,
a daughter of the late Peter and Sarah Jefferis Burkhart.
She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, Catholic Women's Club
and Altar and Rosary Society, all of Barnesville.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence Gallagher; two
sons; two daughters; a brother and three sisters.
Surviving are her husband, Clarence Doudna; two sons,Donald Gallagher of
Canton, Larry Gallagher of Junction City; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Ruth)
Miller of Woodsfield, Mrs. Willis (Rosalie) Carpenter of Beallsville; a brother,
Joseph Burkhart of Temperanceville; 31 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren;
five great great grandchildren.
Friends received at Campbell-Plumly Funeral Home, Barnesville, 2 to 9 p.m.
today, Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Assump-
tion Catholic Church, with Rev. Charles Mascolino the celebrant. Burial in
Assumption Cemetery. Rosary at 7:30 p.m. today.


Anna Violet Burkhart

Obituary (from Betty Hartley):
Anna V. Cater, 78, of 505 South Chestnut St., Barnesville, died Wednesday in
Barnesville Health Care Center. She ws born March 31, 1907 at Temperanceville,
daughter of the late Peter and Sarah Jefferies Burkhart.
She was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church, Catholic Women's Club,
Altar and Rosary Society, and American Legion Auxiliary all at Barnesville, and the
Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Cater, in 1980, and two sisters
and a brother.
Surviving are a brother, Joseph Burkhart of Temperanceville; a sister, Mrs. Clarence
(Emma) Doudna of Barnesville, several nieces and nephews.
Friends received at the Campbell-Plumly Funeral Home, Barnesville, 2 to 4 and 7
to 9 p.m. Friday. Burial services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Assumption Church,
with the Rev. Charles Mascolino officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
at 10 a.m. Monday at Assumption Church. Burial will be held Saturday in Assumption
Cemetery. Rosary devotions 8:30 p.m. Friday.

Homer Price

Obituary (from Betty Hartley):
Homer Price, 70, Temperanceville Highway, Barnesville, died Wednesday
morning in Barnesville Hospital. He was born August 1, 1920 in Medina County,
son of the late Larry and Etta Price.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of DAV Chapter
28 at Cambridge.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. Surviving are his wife,
Evelyn Burkhart Price; two sons, Dean of Barnesville and William of Florida; three
daughters, Sharon Price of California; Karen Price of Barberton, and Gloria Price of
Florida; two brothers, Brown of Barberton and Wilbert of Copley; a sister, Ruth
Knotts of Cambridge; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn
Funeral Home, Barnesville, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev.
Larry Anslow officiating. Burial follows in Friends Cemetery, Quaker City.
