David Allen Burkhart

David Allen Burkhart is the 15 month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Burkhart of Route 5. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Burkhart of the East pike and Paul Stewart of Norwich. Mrs. Eleanor Deitenbeck of the East pike is his great-grandmother.

MISS MARY AGNES BURKHART EXCHANGES WEDDING VOWS WITH JAMES D. MCKEE
Msgr. Linus J. Drury officiated at the wedding Saturday of Miss Mary Agnes Burkhart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester B. Burkhart of the East pike, to James David McKee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. McKee of 465 North Samuel drive. The nuptials took place at noon before the altar of St. Nicholas Catholic Church.
Mr. Burkhart walked to the altar with his daughter and gave her in marriage. For her wedding the bride had chose a floor length gown of candlelight organza over bridal taffeta, designed with high neckline and Edwardian sleeves. Venice lace accents were used on the fitted bodice. The A-line skirt was gathered at the back and extended into a chapel length train bordered with lace. Lace motifs were appliquéd on the gown.
A Juliet headpiece of Venice lace held in place the bride’s chapel length veil which was also accented with lace motifs. She carried ivory cymbidium orchids and pittosporum with ivy accents.
Miss Rose Burkhart was her sister’s honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Walter Flack, another sister, Miss. Judy Rostek, Mrs. William Monnett of Columbus and Mrs. William Martin.
All of the attendants wore radiant blue chiffon over taffeta. The dresses were styled with high duchess necklines and bishop sleeves. Multi-colored flowers were embroidered on the bodice and satin ribbon encircled the empire waistline. They carried colonial arrangements of pink Marguerite daides and baby’s breath.
David Burkhart, nephew of the bride, carried the rings.
Timothy McKee, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Ushers were John Ringhisen, John Bell of Newark, Michael Ryan of Colombus and Ted Youngen of Kettering.
The reception followed at the Elks Lodge on South Fourth street. Miss Rhonda Burkhart, niece of the bride, registered the guests.
Mr. and Mrs. McKee will honeymoon for two weeks in Florida and the Bahamas after which they will live at 547 Taylor street.
The former Miss Burkhart is a 1965 graduate of Rosecrans High School and is a cum laude graduate of Ohio University. She teaches at McIntire Elementary School and is a member of the church in which she was married.
Her husband is a 1965 graduate of Zanesville High School. He received his B.A. degree from Muskingum College and a master of education degree from Ohio University. Mr. McKee is principal of Nashport Elementary School, a member of Euclid Avenue United Methodist Church, the Elks, and the Association of Elementary School Principals.
