Herman Leo Nauer

The following anniversary notice for Mr. and Mrs. Herman Nauer appeared in The Times Recorder (Zanesville, OH) on February 12, 1977:
Anniversary Today For Nauers
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Nauer of Nashport Rt. 1 are observing their 30th wedding anniversary today. No celebration is planned.
Mrs. Nauer is the former Mary Louise Fuller. The couple have four children, Mrs. James Rickeart of Frazeysburg, Mrs. Carmen Wheeler of Nashport Rt. 1, Mrs. Keith Lamb of Newark Rt. 4, and Mark of the home. There are three grandchildren.
Mrs. Nauer is employed by Commercial Motor Freight. The Nauers are members of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Wedding annoucement:

FULLER - NAUER RITES READ ON WEDNESDAY
Miss Mary Louise Fuller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Leonard H. Fuller of 1107 Wheeling avenue, and Herman L. Nauer,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Nauer of Burkhart, O., were marred yesterday
[12 Feb 1947] in St. Nicholas Catholic church with Rev. Father
Francis Schweitzer officiating at the double ring ceremony.
Miss Anna Mae Fuller, sister of the bride, was maid of
honor, and Harry Dimmerling was best man for his cousin. Ushers
were the bride’s brothers, Louis and Ralph Fuller. The bride wore a
gown of traditional white slipper satin and her bridal veil fell from a
Mary Queen of Scots headdress of fine lace. The maid of honor was
gowned in blue chiffon and carried a bouquet of pink carnations.
Following the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served at
the home of the bride’s parents. Aides were Mrs. Ralph Fuller, Mrs.
William Downey, Mrs. Theodore Havens, Mrs. Lawrence Alton,
Miss Martha Hildebrandt and Miss Florence Stremmel.
The couple left for a wedding trip and after Feb. 16 will be at
home at 942 Greenwood avenue. The former Miss Fuller was graduated
from St. Nicholas high school and is employed in the office of the A. E.
Starr company. Mr. Nauer is employed by the St. Nicholas parish.
Both are members of the church in which they were married.
Out-of-town guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. George
Frank and son, Ross, and Mrs. and Mrs. Elmer Bibbee of Wheeling, W.
Va., and Mrs. Frank Nauer and children, Gertrude, Lucille, Leo, and Joe,
of Burkhart, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Dimmerling and daughter, Marcella, of
Summerfield, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Haren of Miltonsburg, Mr. and
Mrs. Ralph Eppley and daughter, Ruth, of McConnelsville, Earl Hinkle,
and daughter, Margaret, of Delaware.
