William J. Klemens

William J. Klemens, age 88, of Louisville, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away Wednesday December 14, 2005 in Mercy Medical Center following a recent illness. Bill was born September 9, 1917 in Canton to the late Andreas and Eva (Krem) Klemens. He was a former car repairman welder for the Pennsylvania Railroad for over thirty years, retiring in 1979 from Conrail. Bill was an avid gardener and a member of the F.O.E. Louisville Aerie #2374 where he served as past President, Treasurer and Trustee.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Helen (Weisend) whom he married in 1939; seven daughters, Eva Klemens of Canton, Carol Klemens of Canton, Jane Klemens of Canton, Rita (Fred) Enderle of Loveland, Kay Klemens of Gurnee, IL, Patricia Harty of Sarasota, FL and Mary Klemens of Zanesville; four sons, James (Judy) Klemens of Canton, Thomas Klemens of Alliance, Joseph (JoAnne) of Louisville and John (Hung Cha) Klemens of Sterling, VA; brother, Robert Klemens of Pittsburgh, PA; seven grandsons, four granddaughters and eight great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by two infant sons, Mathew and Anthony; four sisters, Sara Campbell, Lillian Klemens, Kate Wagner and Dorothy Klemens and two brothers, Andreas and Karl.
Funeral Services for Bill will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home with Msgr. Ken Miller officiating. Interment will follow in St. Louis Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home where F.O.E. services will be held at 5:30 p.m.


Michael Klemens

Sources conflict on name: According to the Louisville (OH) online obituary database, the infant son of William Klemens who died in 1955 was named Michael. However, William Klemens' obituary lists two sons who died as infants: Matthew and Anthony.
