At the time of the 1870 census, 84 year old widower Florian Schrader lived with the family of his daughter, Frances Younger, in Zanesville, Ohio. He was a US citizen, and could read and write.


Kenneth L. Yinger

ZANESVILLE -- Kenneth L. Yinger Sr., 80, of Zanesville,
who gave the gift of life as an organ donor, passed away at
8:27 a.m. Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, while golfing, one of his
favorite hobbies.
He was born July 17, 1924, in Zanesville, a son of the
late Lawrence N. and Hazel L. Davis Yinger. He was a
decorated Army veteran and served in the European
Theater of War from 1943 to 1945. He was very proud of
his service in the Second Armored Division, 14th Battalion.
He was a lifetime member of the VFW George Selsam
Post 1058 and was a construction worker in his earlier
years along with owning HK Landscaping with his wife.
He retired from Mosley Elevators in 1987. Besides golfing,
he also enjoyed woodworking, landscaping, spending time
with his family, traveling and spending winter months at
their cottage in Florida.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Hilda E. McCormick,
the love of his life, whom he married on Dec. 27, 1945,
and their 12 children; eight daughters, Hilda (Thomas)
West of Adamsville, Mary (Bill) Jones of Crooksville, Deborah
Yinger of Duncan Falls, Loretta (Gerard) Garvey of Roscom-
mon County, Ireland, Kathleen (James) Kirkbride of Zanesville,
Linda (Harry) Johnson of Norwich, Susan Stevens of Zanesville,
and Lorraine (Jack) Strong of Hopewell; four sons, Kenneth
L. Jr. (Rebecca) Yinger of Zanesville, Thomas (Jane) Yinger
of Florida, Matthew (Tammy) Yinger of Chandlersville and
George (Mary) Yinger of Adamsville; a sister, Edith (Neil)
Richards of Arizona; 33 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren;
and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and
a brother.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today,
Aug. 3, at The Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, at
the funeral home, with Father Robert Kitsmiller officiating.
VFW George Selsam Post 1058 will hold military services
at the funeral home at the conclusion of the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made
in Kenneth's name to Century National Bank, 34 S. Fifth St.,
Zanesville, OH 43701, to be used for heart and cancer
research.
